Did You Digitally Pre-Order Halo 5 Before September 21? Read This

Microsoft and 343 Industries have posted an alert for those that pre-purchased Halo 5 via the Xbox One digital store. If you locked in your interest before September 21, you might need to take a couple of steps to pre-download your game.

The issue only pops up if you don’t use the Instant On feature. If you do, you should be fine. If not, you’ll want to check your file size before the game launches next week.

From your Games and Apps screen, you can tell how large each of your installed files is. If Halo 5: Guardians is showing up as greater than 40 GB, you’re fine. If not, you’ll need to delete what’s there in order to re-download the proper content.

We’ll just assume those aren’t neighborhood kids dressed as raiders. We’ll give them the “special treat” made of hot lead and lasers.

Capcom has given itself a long lead to polish Street Fighter V’s online performance. It’s a good thing, because the second beta isn’t without significant problems.

Sony To Stream Paris Games Week Press Conference On October 27

Sony has announced plans to stream its Paris Games Week press conference next week. The event will be held on October 27 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific / 12 p.m. Eastern.

This is Sony’s first major event since E3. The publisher skipped Gamescom to put some distance between significant announcements.

Earlier in the year, Sony’s Andrew House admitted that the company’s holiday lineup of first-party titles isn’t as robust as it has been in years past. “Our first party lineup is a little sparse this year, so I think this places even greater emphasis on getting good third-party support," House said.
