John Cena Becomes WWWhee! Champ Thanks To Hilarious Glitch

It’s unfortunate, but this year’s entry in the long-running WWE series isn’t firing on all cylinders. At least we can take solace in hilarious gifs, the “consolation prize” of the video game world.

This latest glitch features WWE’s John Cena taking a brutal hit with a set of metal stairs. What happens afterward even leaves the AI ref in shock as he seems to be begging Cena to “get down from there.”

We’re not sure which Superstar’s backstory involves breaking the laws of physics, but we wouldn’t want to step into the ring with him or her. For more glitches, you can check out our assortment of Fallout 4 bugs that gave us a chuckle.

Konami Commissioning Metal Gear Solid V Prosthetic For An Amputee Gamer

In May 2012, London resident James Young tragically slipped on a train platform leading to the loss of his arm and leg. The now 25 year old gamer has adjusted to his life with humor and perseverance, even going so far as to create Halloween costumes that take advantage of his amputations.

Today, Konami announced that it has selected Young to participate in The Phantom Limb Project. The publisher is teaming up with prosthetics artist Sophie De Oliveira Barata to create a custom arm based on the art style featured in the most recent Metal Gear Solid game.

Barata’s past work includes sleek droid-like limbs, a feather-adorned arm, and science fiction-inspired “gadget arm” with compartments in the fingers and swiss army knife attachments. Her gallery is available on her website.

Star Wars Battlefront Base Command Companion App Available Now

EA and DICE have released the companion app for Star Wars Battlefront a week before the game’s release. Base Command is a free tower defense style game that pits players against waves of Imperial forces.

The turn-based game deals you three unit cards and three star cards from your deck of 24. Each of your soldiers and vehicles can attack specific areas or the map, whether an entire concentric ring (or more) or a quadrant of the circular battlefield.

At the end of each turn, your cards are replenished, your base cannon charges up a bit, and enemy troops advance toward your stronghold. Your goal is to eliminate enemies before they destroy your base, which involves carefully picking targets and using situation-changing star cards strategically.
