Reader Discussion: What's Your Biggest 2015 Backlog Title?

We can see 2015's finish line, and it is a year that has been chock-full of great games. What's the biggest one that you haven't played and fear you might not get to before the year is over?

Mine is Witcher 3. I have heard nothing but fantastic things about the game, it seems like a title I could get into, and I have a save file where I have played about the first two hours. The other thing I've heard about the game is that it is huge, which is an intimidating prospect when I've also got games like Fallout 4 to finish and Rise of the Tomb Raider waiting in the wings.

How about you? What 2015 game flew by you in a flash, and you've been scrambling to try and catch up to it? Let us know in the comments.

BioWare's Jade Empire Is Free On Origin

Everyone knows Mass Effect and Dragon Age, but there is another big BioWare franchise that never quite found enough of an audience to merit follow up sequels: Jade Empire. The game released as an Xbox exclusive back in 2005, and later came to PC. You can grab the game for free as part of Origin's On The House Program.

You can find a link to the listing to grab the game here, though many are reporting issues in adding the game to their account, myself included. It is likely a product of folks scrambling to download the game, but we will make sure to update this story if the game was listed for free in error, or we learn any other additional details.

When the game released in 2005, we gave it a 9.5. You can find an excerpt from Matt Kato's review below:

about X hours ago from

YouTube channel Cosmic Contrarian turned the post-war apocalypse into a current-war battlefield.

Cosmic Contrarian took every legendary NPC enemy, put them arena, secretly told every group that the other groups were talking smack about them, then ran out giggling to witness the mayhem. You can check out the video below, which – fair warning – has some inappropriate language, but it's hard not to sympathize with the commentator considering what's happening on screen.
