Where Is Our Rainbow Six Siege Review?

Where Is Our Rainbow Six Siege Review?

Today is December 1st, which for many Tom Clancy fans is a day they thought would never come. Seven years and one cancellation since the release of the last Rainbow Six game, Ubisoft has finally returned the franchise to the fray.

Though the series has been a fan favorite for many multiplayer aficionados, the shooter landscape has changed dramatically since Rainbow Six Vegas 2 came out in 2008. Since that time, both Call of Duty and Battlefield have dominated the military shooter space. Streamlining its approach Siege leaves the single-player campaign behind for a competition focused 5v5 experience. And the cooperative focused Terrorist Hunt, of course.

So how does it hold up? We don't know yet, because we just got our review copies yesterday afternoon. While we won't have a review until much later in the week, you can tune in at 4pm CST this afternoon to watch a livestream of the fast-paced action.

European Ratings Group PEGI Lists Shadow Complex Remastered For PC

Looking back on last-generation’s Xbox Live Arcade reveals a number of standout games. One of them, Chair’s Shadow Complex (released in 2009), might be getting revamp for PC players.

PEGI, the European ratings group, has listed Shadow Complex Remastered (the game received a PEGI 16 rating, indicating that it includes violence or sexual activity that looks similar to real life) . Chair co-founder Donald Mustard said in 2013 that the studio hasn’t forgotten the property, and there was talk that a sequel was already well into the design phase in 2011.

The Metroid-like Shadow Complex puts players in the shoes of an unwitting hero (voiced by Nolan North), who must infiltrate an underground base to unravel a conspiracy. Armor and weapon upgrades await, allowing deeper access into the facility and the means to reach hidden areas.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is only 17 days away, but fans are still doing everything they can with the available footage to try and get an early peek.

I have personally decided to swear off new Star Wars footage with the movie so close, so I am passing on this one, but for those interested in watching, it's seven minutes of footage and uses everything from trailers, TV spots, and even behind-the-scenes footage to paste together what's available.

Jade Empire Free (Again) Via EA’s Origin On The House Program

Last month, BioWare’s martial arts RPG Jade Empire briefly popped up as a free title on EA’s Origin platform. It disappeared quickly, leaving only a small slice of fans with a shiny new (old) action RPG.

It turns out the trigger was likely just pulled early. The game has cycled into EA’s On the House program, a section of the Origin storefront that features a free game for a limited time.

You can nab it free right now, and there isn't an expiration date yet. It could disappear at any time. Don’t sleep on it, especially if you haven’t played it yet.
