Chill In Your Luxury Apartment Or A Yacht Full Of Missiles In GTA Online's Newest DLC

A life of crime in Grand Theft Auto Online is often a short, tumultuous one, even more so when every other player is out to get you. Rockstar’s newly announced expansion “Executives and Other Criminals” aims to change that, providing players with new living arrangement options and gameplay modes.

Players can gain access to customizable luxury homes, including stilted houses in Vinewood Hills and the fully staffed Super Yacht. The Super Yacht isn’t just for an extravagant show, though. Players can up upgrade their vessel to include an automated missile defense system.

Players will also gain access to new modes, challenges, and abilities in Freemode, including the ability to hire (and fire) a team of other players to act as bodyguards. Players gracious enough to offer their skills as a gun-for-hire will earn in-game money, Rockstar Points, GTA$, and stat boosts for their efforts.

Techland Reveals Free Dying Light 'Drink For DLC' Content

Techland launched a Twitter hashtag campaign a few months back called #DrinkForDLC, encouraging fans to post photos of themselves drinking water in exchange for possible new Dying Light content (while also taking a slight jab at Destiny's Red Bull DLC campaign). After receiving over 15,000 photos and videos of fans guzzling high-quality H2O, Techland developed a three-piece content pack for Dying Light that's free for all players.

Drink For DLC includes the following:

The pack becomes available February 9 for existing Dying Light owners as part of the free improvements update. It's also included in Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, which releases the same day.

Where Is Fable Legends? Microsoft Isn’t Saying Quite Yet

about X hours ago from

Fable Legends was scheduled to be part of Microsoft’s big fall lineup. But it’s December now, and the game isn’t out, let alone in open beta.

We reached out to Microsoft for comment, who didn’t have much to share. What we did receive doesn’t hint at whether the game is still going to playable by the masses this year.

The four-versus-one game is currently planned as a free-to-play title with Xbox One and Windows 10 cross-platform play. One player controls the traps and hordes of enemies, while a team of heroes pushes toward the final goal.

Oculus Lands Direct Hit, Includes Eve Valkyrie With All Rift Pre-Orders

about X hours ago from

Oculus has struck a huge blow announcing a packed-in game with every pre-order of its upcoming Rift virtual reality headset. CCP’s Eve Valkyrie, a space dogfighting spin-off of its popular space sim, will be free for anyone that gets in at the ground floor.

EVE Valkyrie (starring Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff) will premiere on Oculus’ platform, and given that the Rift is likely to be first to market and Oculus’ co-publishing deal, that makes sense. Eve Valkyrie was announced in its current form since 2013, and before that was a tech demo known as Eve VR.

Rift is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2016. HTC recently cleared up confusion over the Vive launch, announcing an anticipated April release. Sony’s entry, PlayStation VR, is currently slated for release in the first half of 2016.

Fallout Shelter Adds Puppies And Kitties For Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, even in a post-apocalyptic wasteland setting. Christmas has come to Fallout Shelter, and Santa Claws (the Deathclaw who brings presents to all good Vault Dwellers) has some goodies for you.

Snow is falling in the Wasteland, and your Vault is decorated for the holidays with trees and Santa hats. It looks like Santa Claws is bringing puppies and kitties to help brighten your underground days.

Pets can be equipped like weapons and armor, conferring bonuses to the Dweller to which they are assigned. Some are useful in the Vault, while others are better suited for exploration.

Valve: 77,000 Steam Accounts Hijacked Each Month

about X hours ago from

We’ve all heard the stories of people who have been victim to digital theft and account compromise. New details from Valve, who is working to combat the problem, shine a light on just how pervasive the issue is.

In a new post on Steam, Valve shares details about its recent Steam Authenticator feature (similar to Blizzard’s Battle.net authenticator app or standalone fob). The company is recommending users implement this extra layer of protection to safeguard their accounts and item transactions.

“We see around 77,000 accounts hijacked and pillaged each month,” Valve says. “These are not new or naïve users; these are professional CS:GO players, reddit contributors, item traders, etc. Users can be targeted randomly as part of a larger group or even individually. Hackers can wait months for a payoff, all the while relentlessly attempting to gain access. It's a losing battle to protect your items against someone who steals them for a living.”
