Call of Duty might be a military fantasy of epic proportions, but players now have the chance to make a real-world impact through their gameplay. A new in-game program allows Call of Duty: Black Ops players to download content to support veteran job placement.

The C.O.D.E. Warrior’s Personalization Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, priced at $3.99, gives players 3x reticles, a calling card, and a custom weapon camo. All funds are directed through the Call of Duty Endowment organization, founded in 2009 by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, which provides funds to various nonprofits that assist veterans in finding jobs after military service. Bayonetta Is Joining The Super Smash Bros. Roster

Video games' most-popular witch is joining Super Smash Bros. Today during a Smash-centric Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that Bayonetta, the titular heroine of Platinum Games' stylish action series will be available as DLC for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS next year.

Bayonetta leaps into Smash Bros. shoe-guns a-blazing, brandishing her short-haired look from Wii U-exclusive Bayonetta 2 (her long-haired look is also available). According to Nintendo, Bayonetta was the number one dream character in fan-generated Smash Bros. polls in Europe, and in the top five for the U.S. Nintendo clarified that Bayonetta satisfied two criteria: She was highly requested and was also a realistic option for business negotiations.

The Umbra Witch comes to Smash with few concessions made to her diverse, demanding moveset. Bayonetta can unleash a multitude of combos, summon gigantic, hair fists and feet to pummel her opponents, and even engage Witch Time with well-timed dodges. Only players who were dodged will be slowed by Witch Time, and the higher their damage the longer the effect. Don't worry about Bayonetta players spamming the ability, though, because repeated use decreases its duration.

Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Releases For Super Smash Bros. Today

about X hours ago from

Last month, Nintendo announced that fan-favorite Final Fantasy character Cloud Strife would be making his way to Super Smash Bros. Cloud is available for download today, but here’s a quick breakdown for how he’ll play and how his stage works.

According to Nintendo, Cloud was the most requested character for Super Smash Bros. The hero of Midgar comes equipped with his iconic Buster sword, and during Nintendo’s special Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct, we saw him use this body-sized sword to unleash a series of devastating combos. As previously revealed, Cloud has two costumes, a traditional outfit based on his appearance from Final Fantasy VII, and a more Neo-ish outfit based on Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Nintendo also detailed Cloud’s special attacks. Blade Beam is a special attack that sends a wave of energy towards his enemies. This beam can be unleashed in the air, but is actually more powerful when released on the ground. Cloud’s side special is called Cross Clash, which is a powerful combo attack that sends enemies flying out of the arena. Climhazzard is Cloud’s up special, and this attack sends Cloud flying up in the air with his Buster sword outstretched and cleaving through anything that gets in his way.

Corrin From Fire Emblem Fates Joins Smash Bros. Roster

about X hours ago from

Fire Emblem Fates doesn't arrive on 3DS until next February, and now Nintendo is giving fans another morsel to further anticipate next year. Protagonist Corrin is coming to Smash Bros. as a playable fighter.

Nintendo showed off Corrin in action during a special Smash Bros.-centric Nintendo Direct video. Players can choose whether they want Corrin to be a male or female, just like in Fire Emblem Fates. Both versions of the character play identically.

Corrin wields the sword Yato, which is in its spikey, glowing form: Omega Yato. On top of this melee weapon, Corrin uses the Blood of Dragon Fang coursing through his/her veins to transform into an ancient reptilian beast. Depending on the attack, Corrin's specific limbs will become draconic while other times he/she will fully turn into a dragon. Corrin's Dragon Lunge side-smash attack is specifically far-reaching. In keeping with Fire Emblem gameplay mechanics, Corrin can also counter, which negates damage coming her way.
