This May Be The Best Just Cause 3 Video We'll Ever See

From the moment Just Cause 3 launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the internet became a goldmine of videos showing protagonist Rico Rodriquez doing ridiculous things. If you enjoy watching hapless civilians rocket into the air, the latest video I stumbled upon will be hard to top.

Titled "Rico's Space Program or 13 Human Rockets Blasting Off and More," this video shows us just how much fun Rico's grapple and explosive capabilities can be. The video's highlight is the 4:05 mark, a sequence that shows off just how elaborate the setups in Just Cause can be.

The video comes courtesy of YouTube user Corps Peau Rate. After watching it, I urge all of you to jump into the game and use the knowledge you just gained to create your own hilarious videos.

Harmonix Hit With Layoffs, Impact Unknown

Layoffs have hit Harmonix, but it's unknown if there are others on the way. The information comes from the Twitter accounts of a pair of devs, and hopefully it's not a sign of more to come.

According to a tweet from Eric Pope, the studio's former community manager, game designer Adam Cardoza and Marissa Flabouris were let go. The pair's Twitter accounts also reference the unfortunate turn of events.

It's unknown if there are more layoffs that have happened or will happen. Amplitude just released, and it's not unusual for developers to be laid off once a project is over, but it's unknown if this is related to the game's release.

Appearing in a press conference in promotion of Omikron: The Nomad Soul before its release, the legendary singer spoke about what it's like composing for a video game, as well as his history with the medium. He also shares a humorous confession about his feelings toward Lara Croft.

Learn How Video Game Stories Are Told Thanks To Skylanders Superchargers

about X hours ago from

One of gaming's greatest achievements is weaving traditional storytelling with interactive elements. Over the decades, narrative designers, artists, and those responsible for crafting the gameplay have learned how to work in concert to bring compelling tales to life.

Regardless of what you feel about toys-to-life games, the teams working on Skylanders have created an enjoyable cast of playable characters with a charismatic supporting cast. Each year, villain Kaos concocts a new scheme and player-controlled Skylanders (along with Flynn, Hugo, and others) are there to stop him.

In the video below, you can see how Vicarious Visions put the pieces of 2015's Skylanders Superchargers together. The clip includes storyboards, basic animatics, and final production so you can see the key pieces of the evolution.
