NCSoft’s Blade & Soul Passes Two Million Western Downloads, New Endgame Content Available

NCSoft’s martial arts MMO, Blade & Soul, has now passed two million downloads. The game has doubled its usership in the past two weeks, when the publisher announced 1 million downloads in the United States and Europe.

The company also shared that new endgame content is available. The Rising Waters update includes three max-level player-versus-enemy events.

Bloodshade and Nightshade Harbor are different versions of the same instance. The former is designed for four or six players. The latter is a 24-player instance. Both pit you and friends against pirates.

Epic’s shooter MOBA is currently in closed testing on PC. If you remember back in December though, the studio said a PS4 version is also in the works.

If you’re interested in putting the game through its paces, you’ll have your chance soon. All you need to do is create an Epic Games account and link your PlayStation 4 ID to it.

Launch Editions Of Sega 3D Classics Collection Will Include Stickers

Sega 3D Classics Collection, which gathers nine classic Sega games which have been updated with stereoscopic 3D on 3DS into one package, is getting a bonus for those who grab the game early.

Alongside the game, first-run copies will come with a set of classic Sega decals. For surprisingly in-depth details on each of the stickers, you can check out the included text of the press release announcing the stickers.

Dungeons 2, last year's PC-exclusive dungeon simulator, is making its way to PlayStation 4.

You won't find much in the way of gameplay in the PlayStation 4 announcement trailer below, but you will see the failed escape of lowly goblin. You can find our review of the PC game here. In the game you manage a dungeon, building up an army to reclaim your dominance.

The PlayStation 4 game is slightly more than just a straight port.

Ty The Tasmanian Tiger Is Coming Back In HD On PC

Developer and Ty the Tasmanian creator Krome Studios revealed plans to give Ty the Tasmanian Tiger an HD overhaul and Steam early access release.

Originally released in 2002, Ty the Tasmanian was one of many mascot platformers that released for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. This PC release of the game isn't a total overhaul, but Krome says,  "We're making a few 'special modifications' to make it nicer too," in the YouTube description of the video. The game will be available as an early access title next month.

We gave the original version of the game 7.75 when it released in 2002.

Rockstar has released its free Be My Valentine update for GTA Online, bringing new clothing options and other goodies to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. Be still, my beating heart!

Players can purchase the Albany Roosevelt Valor or the original Albany Roosevelt from Legendary Motorsports, for those of you who are looking to impress your dates with a fresh ride. A host of new clothing options have been added to stores, as well as the return of the Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun. On Friday, players will be able to check out the new Till Death Do Us Part adversary mode, which pits teams of couples against each other.

Frozen Synapse 2 Coming This Year

Developer Mode 7 Games has announced a sequel to its 2011 simultaneous turn-based strategy title – aptly named Frozen Synapse 2 –  and it's expanding the conflict.

The game is out sometime this year for PC, Mac, and Linux, and the tagline this time is, "open world tactics." Mode 7 isn't detailing just yet how that will work with the series' gameplay, which requires players to plan out their moves in secret before they are executed simultaneously.

Currently the title's website is running a promotion whereby if you sign up to the game's mailing list you'll get a free exclusive track from the game's composer.

Head Of Sony VR Studio Steps Down

Dr. Dave Ranyard is leaving Sony's London Studio – the developer of various PlayStation VR demos (including London Heist, shown) – in order to "independently" work on other VR projects.

Ranyard was at the studio for 17 years, and worked on projects like The Getaway, Singstar, Eyetoy, and Wonderbook.

"2016 is going to be the year of VR so it's the perfect time for me to take this step into independent development," said Ranyard in a press release. "The emergence of a new medium like VR doesn't come along very often and I really want to be a part of this new world."

The Walking Dead: Michonne Begins Later This Month, Extended Preview On Valentine’s Day

Telltale is about to unleash the zombie horde once more. The three-episode The Walking Dead miniseries focused on sword-wielding Michonne is set to launch later this month.

The first episode, In Too Deep, will kick off on February 23. You won’t need to wait that long to get a look, though.

Telltale will release a five-minute extended preview this Sunday, February 14, on its YouTube channel. That’s right. You can spend part of your Valentine’s Day with the shambling dead. Zombies have hearts, after all, even if they don’t beat.

Transformers: Earth Wars Is Clash Of Clans In Disguise

In case the sheer amount of money that Supercell’s Clash of Clans earns daily ($1.1 million as of November 2015), you might look at the flood of clones as a barometer of success. The latest of these comes from Hasbro and Space Ape Games, starring Optimus Prime and the rest of the Transformers.

There’s some pull here for fans. As you can see in the trailer below, the art style is borrowed from the original 1980s designs. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker return to voice Optimus Prime and Megatron respectively.
