How Did Assassin’s Creed IV Art Get Into The Uncharted 4 Trailer?

This morning, Naughty Dog dropped an impressive-looking trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Hidden inside though, was a surprising piece of artwork created by another publisher.

Assassin’s Creed head of content Azaïza Aymar took to Twitter, posting the clip from the trailer and what appears to be another piece of art allegedly created by another publisher (timestamp 1:36 in the trailer). The concept piece in question may come from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

The difference appears to be only the removed character standing by the boat on the beach. We’ve reached out to Sony for comment or clarification. We've also approached Ubisoft for more information. We’ll update should we receive a response from either.

Fire Emblem Fates Sells Five Times As Many Copies As Awakening In Opening Weekend

about X hours ago from

Nintendo has shared that Fire Emblem Fates now holds the record for best United States launch in franchise history. More than 300,000 copies were sold in the first three days.

The sales number includes all versions of the game: Birthright, Conquest, and the Collector’s Edition. This bests Awakening’s opening weekend performance by a factor of five.

Birthright outsold the more challenging Conquest, but players will be able to get the opposite version for $19.99 via the eShop. For those that didn’t purchase the collector’s edition, the third chapter, Revelation, will be available on March 10.

Reader Discussion: Do You Like Your Games In The Past, Present, Or Future?

Far Cry Primal is out today. It's a franchise that usually takes place in the present, but this one is going way in the past. Is that a good thing?

In most cases, it depends entirely on the context of the game, but we all have our preferences. I'm a future, or near-future kind of guy. I like science-fiction and generally don't like look back to much. That being said, I enjoy the Assassin's Creed series, and am looking forward to starting Primal soon.

How about you?

Mega Man Legacy Collection Accidentally Listed At Double Intended Price On 3DS eShop

Don’t Rush to purchase a digital copy of Mega Man Legends on 3DS. Capcom has alerted users that there’s a pricing error that has the game listed at twice what it should be.

The standard retail version of the game is listed at $29.99 (without the Mega Man Amiibo), but the digital edition is apparently supposed to be half that. Capcom’s official @Capcom_Unity Twitter account sent up the warning flare earlier today.

Mega Man Legacy Collection on the 3DS eShop should be $14.99. Please hold off on downloading until the pricing is fixed shortly!

Titan Comics Reveals Dark Souls First Issue Covers And Preview Page

about X hours ago from

The brutally punishing Dark Souls is being adapted into an ongoing comic series by publisher Titan Comics this April. The dark fantasy art style is being handled by Alan Quah, and Doctor Who comic writer George Mann is penning the script.

Dark Souls Issue 1 digs into the Souls mythos with an original ongoing story that contains 32 pages per issue. The comic is rendered in full color, and it appears that the artstyle may be a departure from the claustrophobic and Gothic tone that the series is known for.
