Report: Retailer Listing Points To Star Wars Battlefront DLC Release Date

Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim DLC is looking to release in early April, at the price of $15 USD, according to a leaked GameStop retail listing (Disclosure: GameStop is Game Informer's parent company).

The product description reads that players will "fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine." For those with a season pass, which is priced at $50 USD, the DLC will come at no extra cost.

The extra content includes a new playable mode, four new maps, new weapons, and Sullustan rebel Nien Nunb and Rodian bounty hunter Greedo as two new playable characters. Extraction, the new mode, will have players "extracting valuable content" while chasing against the clock. The extra content is expected to go live at 9:00 AM CST on April 5. Weekend Warrior - Stardews and Star-don'ts

Weekend Warrior - Stardews and Star-don'ts

Despite AAA titles The Division and Hitman dropping earlier this week, an unassuming indie darling has stolen many players' hearts. The farming simulator Stardew Valley has cleverly injected itself into many of our play queues. Of course, some of us will still be lootin' and shootin' in The Division and picking up contracts in Hitman, despite Stardew's best efforts to bring peace and order into our gaming routines. What about you? What's on the agenda for this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.

Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – I'm playing nurse for both wife and child, and will be catching up on some work this weekend, so I don't see much video gaming happening over the next two days. But if it does occur, it will probably look a whole lot like The Division.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend all I want to do is mainline Stardew Valley. Unfortunately, there's this game called Final Fantasy VII that I promised the GI community we'd talk about on next week's episode of The Game Informer Show. So I need to play through the entire second disc of my favorite game of all time, woe is me. Really though, I most likely won't be able to get Stardew Valley out of my head the entire time. Have a good weekend!

Three More Legendary Pokémon Are Now Available In Pokémon Bank

Nintendo has given Pokémon trainers a few more reasons to use the Pokémon Bank today with the addition of Registeel, Regice, and Regirock. The trio of Legendary Pokémon will be available for transfer from the bank between now and October 31.

You can receive them one at a time by accessing the Pokémon Bank (assuming you have a subscription) in Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire. Each of the three will have a new Hidden Ability attached to them that wasn't available by catching them in the wild.

The Pokémon Bank is an application and a service for the 3DS that allows you to deposit, store, and manage Pokémon in private boxes on the Internet, and a subscription costs $4.99 a year. If you don't have a Pokémon Bank, you can still get the mythical Celebi for free as a Mystery Gift via download this month.

Layoffs Hit Wildstar Developer Carbine Studios

Carbine Studios, the developer behind NCSoft’s Windstar MMO, has suffered a number of layoffs. The publisher confirmed the news to Game Informer this afternoon.

NCSoft says that the move reorganizes in the wake of canceling the MMO for the Chinese market. This also reflects the transition of Wildstar to a “live title” rather than one in development.

Earlier this morning, Carbine Studios completed a reorganization of its operating structure. Moving forward, the studio will focus on operating and updating WildStar as a live game in the US and Europe. As part of this change, the studio has canceled its plans to bring WildStar to China.

Harmonix Is Finally Launching Amplitude On PlayStation 3 Next Month

Harmonix broke its two month silence with Amplitude backers today to announce that the PlayStation 3 version is finally nearing completion. The game is being submitted to Sony for certification with anticipated release some time in April.

The company also says that it will finally be shipping physical backer rewards at the end of next of month. The final digital reward, an art book, is going out to eligible backers today.

Harmonix originally planned to release the PS3 version alongside the PlayStation 4 edition. When the game was delayed in July 2015, the PS3 version was pegged to come “shortly after.” That was widened to “coming months” when the PS4 edition launched in January.
