GameInformer News Modder Zulliethewitch recently released a mod for Dark Souls III that let's you see From Software's oppressive world from a whole new angle.
The mod lets you play Dark Souls III from the first-person perspective, which frankly, sounds terrifying. I struggle as it is to see behind my back when the camera follows from a comfortable distance behind me. The video showing off the game comes from YouTube channel Iron Pineapple, and you can check it out below.
You can grab the PC mod, which comes with the requisite, "install at your own risk" warning, by heading here.

If you're playing the newly released Homefront: The Revolution and need a break from liberating Philadelphia from North Korean occupation, Deep Silver Dambuster Studios has provided you with options. Hidden away within the game is an arcade cabinet called Time to Split. Step up to that cabinet and you'll be magically whisked away to 2002 to play a couple of levels from TimeSplitters 2.
The cabinet features the first two areas from the game, Siberia and Chicago. To find it, you simply go to the game's restricted zone and find The Bourse, which is a location that you encounter through a mission in the main story of Homefront: The Revolution. From there, you head upstairs to find the cabinet. For more explicit instructions, see Eurogamer's video below.

Following his falling out with Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill publisher Konami, Hideo Kojima has been slowly building toward something with the new Kojima Productions. While the initial announcement of his studio brought with it a minimalist logo, Kojima today gave his followers a look at a 3D model named Ludens that the logo is modeled after.
In a series of three tweets, Kojima spelled out what Ludens, a Latin participle of the root word "ludo," which translates in English to "play," means to the team. EA has announced a skunkworks team working on future technology in preparation for upcoming technological innovations. Frostbite Labs, a team of 30 to 40 people, are looking far ahead to identify questions (and answers) that will be important down the line.
The team has two cells, with one in Stockholm and the other in Vancouver. While the full extent of the work wasn’t detailed, EA executive vice president Patrick Söderlund explained a couple of things that Frostbite Labs is working on.
While EA hasn’t dabbled too much in VR yet (other than the announced Star Wars Battlefront experience), the skunkworks team is looking at how to create meaningful interactions in virtual reality. Söderlund says the group is working on “virtual humans” and creating believable characters and interactions in VR.
