Star Wars Battlefront Bespin Update Adds Cloud Cars And Two New Blasters

Star Wars Battlefront players won’t need to wait long to explore Cloud City. EA will begin rolling out the second major expansion right after E3.

Today, the publisher and developer DICE have shown off art for the DLC (above) and revealed some of what’s coming. The Bespin update adds a new vehicle (cloud cars) and two blasters (the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4).

It also brings Lando on the side of the Rebellion and bounty hunter Dengar for the Empire. Lando relies on tricks, but Dengar (who is the first hero with a heavy blaster) is all about getting into the fight.

Ubisoft has announced that it is closing its studio in Casablanca, Morocco. The company informed employees earlier last week, with operations ceasing on June 13.

Those affected have been offered transfers to one of Ubisoft’s 29 other studios or other assistance if they will be leaving the company. The Casablanca studio was in operation worked on Valiant Hearts, Child of Light, Rayman Fiesta Run, Rayman Legends, and a number of handheld games, including Rabbids 3D on 3DS and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on DS.

Ubisoft says it closed the studio to “increase efficiency and effectiveness of its cross-collaboration studio model.” The publisher is also under threat of hostile takeover from Vivendi, which recently seized control of Gameloft, which was founded by Ubisoft’s Guillemot family.

Ubisoft Starts Issuing The Division Permabans For First-Time Cheaters

Apparently, a two-week ban for cheating hasn’t been enough to dissuade some Division players. Ubisoft is stepping up its efforts, and has announced that it will start handing out permanent bans on first offense.

Last month, the publisher “took action” against 30,000 accounts, dishing out approximately 3,800 permanent bans. Additional waves of bans are coming, and Ubisoft will announce when they’ve happened.

The company says that it is seeing improvement in the game as cheaters are removed from the population. “We are committed to constantly improve your experience in the game, and this begins with ensuring a positive and fair environment free of noxious players willingly violating the rules,” the company says. “We will take all steps necessary to track down cheaters and make sure they cannot spoil your enjoyment of the game.”

Deus Ex's Augmented Prosthetics Are One Step Closer To Being Real

Human augmentation and modification is a huge part of the Deus Ex series' story, and now a line of bionic arms based on the game is being produced. Open Bionics is a company that focuses on producing affordable prosthetics and has partnered with Deus Ex, Razer and Intel to make Adam Jensen's arm a reality.

The line of Deus Ex models isn't quite ready for the market yet, but in a newly released video, we can see the progress that is being made on these working bionic arms. The products are made using 3D printers and feature neural sensors that move individual fingers and allow a user to close or open the fist. Check out these arms in action below.

Rumor: Game Of Thrones’ Kit Harrington In MoCap Rig Could Be Related To Call Of Duty

about X hours ago from

Last year, Marshawn Lynch had a “blink and you might miss him” cameo in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. When his inclusion was announced, ESPN shared images of the Seattle Seahawks running back in the middle of a motion capture sphere. Now another star has appeared in a similar setting.

To be clear, there is nothing concrete tying this footage to Call of Duty specifically. It is likely that this very similar rig is located in a motion capture studio used by Activision and others.

But with Kevin Spacey, Ben Browder, Jeff Goldblum, John Malkovich, Heather Graham, Ron Perlman, and Bruce Campbell already taking a turn in the series, star power in a Call of Duty game isn’t shocking. When reached for comment, an Activision representative said the company would neither confirm nor deny Harrington’s involvement.
