First Level Of Doom Free, Upcoming DLC Detailed

id Software announced that several free updates are on the way for the studio's Doom reboot that released earlier this year.

Doom's user-generated content and level creator Snapmap is going to receive free updates, including new construction models, props, weapons, and items. New options will allow users to create their own single player experiences. Two new modes will also arrive next month, including Exodus and Sector, as well as a free-for-all mode that will be a classic death-match. These updates will be available to all players on all existing maps. 

The studio also announced a new multiplayer DLC on its way titled Unto the Evil which will feature three new maps, such as Offering, Cataclysm, and Ritual. A brand new demonic enemy called the Harvester will also be introduced. This DLC will also include new guns, taunts, armor, and more. Finally, the first level of Doom will be free for the next week on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Bethesda Announces Fallout 4 And Doom Hell Tour For VR

Bethesda is getting into VR with two different experiences. One is simply a tech demo. The other is going to fulfill many a wasteland dream.

While Doom might be a bit too fast for virtual reality, Bethesda is using the game to show off id Software's latest engine with a tour of Hell.

The bigger announcement is that Fallout 4 is getting a complete overhaul. It will be coming to Vive in 2017.

Build Your Own Vault In Fallout 4

Bethesda has a bunch of additions to Fallout 4 coming, including the ability to build your own vault.

The company announced the functionality at its pre-E3 press conference, and also announced other upcoming workshop features.

Contraptions is the fourth add-on to Fallout 4, and it comes out next week. Contraptions adds Elevators, armor/weapon racks, sorting machines, and conveyor belts.

Arkane Resurrects Prey Franchise With New Psychological Thriller

Human Head's Prey 2 looked like an interesting sci-fi bounty hunter sim, but the game had some development problems and never actually released. Bethesda hasn't forgotten about the franchise however, and Arkane's Austin studio (Dishonored) is currently working on a new game.

This Prey reboot takes place in the year 2032, and the main character is a man named Morgan who wakes up one day on a space station and is being tested on with some strange alien experiments. The trailer showed one man living the same day over and over again. Check it out below. Arcane says they’ll show off more at QuakeCon.

It's been one year since Fallout Shelter was announced and released at Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference. Tonight, Bethesda announced a major update coming to the game as well as a new version.

Fallout Shelter is coming to PC, with all versions getting a host of new updates. Players will have access to quests and new locations.

Additionally, combat is getting a much-needed overhaul. Players will be able to target enemies in order to take out bigger threats. There are new enemies coming, as well.

Skyrim Special Edition Announced

The rumors are true, Skyrim is getting a makeover. Bethesda's massive, epic-scale role-playing game is getting a Special Edition for the current gen, announced at Bethesda's press conference at E3 2016.

Visual upgrades were showcased, comparing last-gen consoles to how things look on current-gen consoles with the Special Edition - it's an impressive shift.

Screen space reflections, snow, water shaders, and a slew of other eye candy upgrades were also on display.

Quake Champions Unveiled

During the Bethesda showcase, the publisher revealed Quake Champions, the latest in the classic first-person shooter series with a trailer. The trailer for the game was entirely cinematic, featuring a number of characters duking it out in a massive hallway with sci-fi weapons while using the Quake staple jump pad to get around the environment.

Id Software's studio director, Tim Willits, took to the stage to talk a little bit about the game as well. He revealed that the game would launch as a PC exclusive that was centered around multiplayer action and "designed for world class play."

Willits did not reveal if Champions would have a single-player component.

That familiar baseball cap is back as The Walking Dead Season 2 protagonist Clementine makes a return in the latest teaser trailer released by Telltale Games, and she's looking quite a bit older.

This will be the first time seeing any of The Walking Dead characters since late-summer 2014 with the conclusion of Season 2's fifth episode, "No Going Back." Along with Clementine, the teaser also features a new, unknown male character. We're intrigued to see how Telltale will handle the multiple different endings that concluded Season 2 with this new chapter coming this fall.

Battlefield 1 Trailer Shows New Vehicles, Dynamic Weather, And More

Battlefield 1 is bringing the series to World War I, and with that comes new additions to the gameplay as well as never-before-included vehicles for the Battlefield series.

The upcoming entry is set to include intuitive destruction that changes based on the action going on in the match; dynamic weather, including fog, rain, and sunshine; and new weapons and vehicles including the behemoths and armored trains. You can see the latest trailer below.

EA Details Upcoming Star Wars Games, Motive Helping With Battlefront 2

During EA's E3 press conference, head of EA Motive Jade Raymond took the stage to talk about EA’s Star Wars lineup. Next year we’ll be getting another Battlefront, and today we learned that Jade's new Motive studio will be helping develop that title as well as the new action-adventure game that we'll be getting from Visceral in 2018. A video that followed Jade's talk showed off several developers talking about their games, including a peek at some light saber mo-cap sessions from Respawn's upcoming Star Wars project.
