Super Paper Mario, Drill Dozer, And Mega Man 7 Available On Virtual Console

The Wii U and 3DS both got injections of quality Virtual Console games this week.

Wii U received the Wii title, Super Paper Mario, and the Game Boy Advance title, Drill Dozer. Super Paper Mario released early in the Wii's life cycle and is the closest the Paper Mario series ever got to being a traditional Mario game. Drill Dozer is among the rare Game Freak game that is not called Pokémon, and is also quite good.

The 3DS received Mega Man 7, the only Mega Man game to release on Super Nintendo in North America that did not end with an X.

We Dig Deep Into E3's Trio Of Lego Games

about X hours ago from

The Lego games have been a reliable source of family entertainment for years now. This year at E3, Warner Bros. and TT Games showed off a diverse lineup of games that feature the colorful bricks. While they share elements, such as minifigs and breakable Lego objects, each one offers a unique take on the building experience. I played with Lego Dimensions: Year 2, Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Lego Worlds, and I've got the highlights from each of those games.

Lego Dimensions: Year 2Lego Dimensions launched last year, letting players experience mashups with licenses such as Jurassic Park, Scooby-Doo!, and The Simpsons. A year later, and the toys-to-life game is expanding in surprising ways. Most obviously, it includes even more licenses, including Gremlins, E.T., Adventure Time, The Goonies, and the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot. More subtly, it fulfills the promise made at launch, which stated that this was going to be a platform, and not an annualized release. What does that mean? There won't be a new disc/portal bundle this year. Instead, players buy Lego Dimensions (the one released last year), and they can add onto it with the character and adventure packs released earlier, as well as the ones that are coming out later this year. The new purchased content will be download and incorporated into the base game.

Another Familiar Face Returns To Dishonored 2

When footage for Dishonored 2 closed out Bethesda's E3 conference, a familiar looking face stuck out to observant fans of the first game. The "Otherwordly Usuper," the character supposedly responsible for removing Emily Kaldwin from the throne in the second game, looks an awful lot like Delilah Copperspoon, the antagonist of the Brigmore Witches DLC.

Creative director Harvey Smith just confirmed to us in an interview that the character in the trailer is in fact Delilah. He didn't specify whether she was returning as a villain, though her presence in the gameplay trailer suggests it. However, nothing is ever just black and white or simple in the world of Dishonored.

The next Mario Party is coming to 3DS and for the first time, it allows players to attack the board simultaneously.

The previous Mario Party for Wii U had players traveling the board together, but this time, thanks to each player having their own dedicated 3DS screen, players will be able to all move around the board separately and at the same time.

Everything You Need To Know About The Xbox One S, Microsoft’s Middle Child

about X hours ago from

The Xbox One S is the stepping stone between the original Xbox One released in 2013 and the upcoming Project Scorpio expected during holiday 2017. There’s a lot to break down with Microsoft’s next iteration, so we’ve organized all the available information to help you decide if the technical upgrade (and size downgrade) is a good fit for you.

The first thing differentiating the Xbox One S from its predecessor is the new design. The unit is 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One, and has received a complete visual makeover. Now a sleek white, the newest Xbox is as stylish as it is functional. The Xbox One is not a compact console, coming in at just over a foot long, almost 11 inches wide, and about seven pounds. No specific specs have been released for the S yet, but a decrease in size does shape up to a far more transportable console.
