Forrest Whitaker’s Rogue One Character Connects Movies To Animated Series

When Disney drew a line in the sand between the spiraling Star Wars extended universe and a smaller body of official stories, fans were outraged. However, Lucasfilm is making the most of what’s still available to them.

Rogue One will see an original character from The Clone Wars animated series come to life. Entertainment Weekly reports that Forrest Whitaker is playing Saw Gerrera, who was introduced as an anti-Separatist fighter in the fifth season of the cartoon.

Gerrera encounters Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano, who train him and his band of guerrilla fighters. He’s had a hard life since we were introduced to him at a younger age.

Embattled Retailer G2A Speaks Out About Grey Market Fraud And Theft Accusations

Over the past few days, the games industry has taken a new stand against grey-market game code reselling. The practice is accused of being linked to credit card theft and excessive chargebacks that can cripple smaller companies.

Grey market sales are defined as those that are technically legal, but not a distribution vehicle intended by the original seller. The codes originate with TinyBuild or an authorized partner, but problems arise when criminals use stolen credit cards to buy in bulk and sell on auction sites at prices that undercut the primary seller.

The confrontation has involved many players over the years, but this latest flare-up was initiated by small publisher TinyBuild. The company has accused G2A, a third-party resale clearinghouse, of selling $450,000 worth of the publisher’s keys obtained through illicit methods. When the owner of the stolen payment method discovers what's happened, their credit card company reverses the charges, the developer is charged back, and the keys are still floating in the market.

Top-Down Shooter Livelock Coming To Consoles And PC August 2

Co-op, top-down shooter Livelock has officially gotten a release date. It is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 2.

The game takes players to the 22nd century in the "age of the machine." Humanity is nearly snuffed out, and it is up to you to restore it by battling groups of corrupted machines called clusters. You play as a Capital Intellect that is essentially a human consciousness implemented into a robot body.

An announcement trailer for Livelock was released in January, which starred one of the Capital Intellects Hex. A recent Pax East developer walkthrough video shows off the remaining two playable characters, Catalyst the support specialist and drone expert and Vanguard a close-range brawler. These characters have also each received reveal trailers; you can check out Catalyst's here, and Vanguard's here

LucidSound Expands Sleek Headset Range With Surround Sound, Compact Models

At PAX East, we got the opportunity to take LucidSound’s inaugural headset, the LS30, out for a spin. The comfortable stereo headset works great with mobile devices via a 3.5mm cable and even better with the uncompressed wireless sound.

Right before E3, the company announced two more models. The LS20 is an on-ear headset, as opposed to the larger can-type over-ear models that are more prevalent in high-end audio.

The LS20 works with consoles and includes a removable boom mic, but is designed as much for on-the-go use. It’s a slimmer profile than the LS30 and other gaming headsets, but it continues to offer amplified audio via an internal, rechargeable battery.

Blizzard Dumps Overwatch ’Avoid This Player’ Feature

Overwatch is likely to go through a number of changes rapidly in its opening months. One thing getting left by the wayside already is the “avoid this player” feature.

It was apparently having a significant, negative impact on matchmaking. Blizzard still likes the idea of letting players steer away from those they’d rather not match with, however the current implementation isn’t working.

You’ll still see the button for “avoid this player” for the time being. It will be removed in a future update.
