about X hours ago from

Artist Darren Calvert has taken familiar Pokémon, but given them a bit of a northern twist. I recently consulted our resident Canadian and fellow intern, Haley MacLean, to help break down the parody behind each Canadian Pokémon.

It is currently not known if these Pokémon will be featured in the Canadian version upcoming augmented-reality game, Pokemon Go.

In China You Can Buy World Of Warcraft Beer, For Some Reason

about X hours ago from

The China-based beer company Tsingtao Beer recently launched a World of Warcraft-themed brew in promotion of the recent film.

Spotted by Collectors Society user Revat on a recent trip to China, the large beer set comes with two 16-ounce cans featuring the orc Durotan and Anduin Lothar and what appears to be a pendant. The beer inside is Tsingtao's 1903 Tsingtao Lager, as pointed out by The Beijinger. If you're interested in buying your own set, there are currently a few for sale on eBay ranging around $20 and $30.

Though, to be fair, it's not necessarily a surprise China is producing odd merchandising around the Warcraft film; the movie is currently breaking records in the East, making $156 million in five days.

Code Reseller G2A Acquiesces To Some Demands, But Developers Remain Wary

Game-key reseller G2A has been embroiled in a public relations battle that focuses on the platform’s problem with the gray market and fraudulently purchased goods. Developers have called for reform, and today the retailer has made the first overtures toward change.

G2A says it will begin offering up to 10-percent royalty to developers for keys sold on its platform. It’s up to developers to set that royalty, which will be applied on top of prices set by third-party sellers.

In order for developers to take advantage of this, they’ll need to partner with the site. Studios will need to register their products for G2A to acknowledge owned intellectual property and games.

EA Sports Comments On FIFA Ultimate Team Chem Glitch

EA Sports Comments On FIFA Ultimate Team Chem Glitch

A user has found and demonstrated a glitch in FIFA 16's Ultimate Team mode that throws into question the performance – and therefore value – of some cards in the popular, monetized fantasy mode.

User RighteousOnix posted a video on YouTube recently demonstrated the ineffectiveness of chemistry style boosts on cards that are not day-one FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) cards. Thus, cards that have come out since release – EA has released a variety of these player cards for transfers, position changes, man of the match and in-form designations, etc – do not perform better than the day-one FUT cards.

In the video RighteousOnix explains and demonstrates this using various FUT cards, using those players' ability or inability to perform a special dribble move that can only be performed by players with a dribble rating of 86 or higher. Another video posted by the user also calls into question the functionality of FUT cards' individual chemistry rating.
