YouTuber Trevor Martin Admits Ownership Of CS:GO Gambling Site, Doesn't Apologize For Deception

about X hours ago from

Earlier this week, two popular YouTubers were discovered to be owners of a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) gambling site that they promoted without disclosure. Videos showed Tom “ProSyndicate” Cassell and Trevor “TmarTn” Martin gambling on CS:GO Lotto, a site they claimed to stumble upon.

This situation came to light through the detective work of a YouTube channel called HonorTheCall and signal boosting by H3H3 Productions. The accused duo, which commands an audience of 17 million subscribers, has been silent since their illicit activities, failure to comply with FTC rules, and all of the related fallout that came to light on July 4.

Today, Martin published a video titled “I’m Sorry.” In it, he suggests that he did not deceive viewers because his ownership of the site was a matter of public record. That means that information could be found if someone went looking, which is not the same as open, unavoidable, and clearly labeled disclosure. “My connection to CS:GO Lotto has been a matter of public record since the company was first organized in December of 2015,” he says. “However, I do feel like I owe you an apology. I am sorry to each and every one of you who felt like that was not made clear enough to you.”

Koei Tecmo Reveals New Online Mode And Mechanic

Koei Tecmo released a ton of new information and footage today of its video game adaptation of Hajime Isayama's manga series, including the announcement of a new online mode. [Except]

Attack On Titan's new mode is called "Scout Mode." In it, a player can recruit an online team of three, which he or she picks missions for throughout different locations, but with the similar goal of taking down Titans. Koei Tecmo says the missions contained in Scout Mode differ from those in the main campaign.

The new trailer also shows off the "Decisive Battle Signal." As players rescue other players on the map and take down Titans, they fill their Decisive Battle Meter. When activated, the meter uses all other players in the near area to do a large amount of damage. Check it out in the trailer, as well as a ton of new screens, down below.

Blizzard Is Teasing A New Overwatch Character

about X hours ago from

A new update from the Overwatch Twitter account suggests a new character could release soon. While nothing is confirmed, this tweet insinuates the inclusion of a support sniper.

The tweet, shown below, shows "classified information" sent via email between Jack Morrison (Soldier 76) and Gabriel Reyes (Reaper). An annotation in the email from Mercy states her agreement with Torbjörn's production of "different biotic delivery mechanisms was to save the lives of Overwatch agents and others in need of medical aid." However, she points out his latest proposal hints at the inevitable weaponizing of the rifle. It's not too much to go on, so time will tell what Blizzard is hinting at.

Game Theory Creator Discusses Gifting The Pope A Copy Of Undertale

Popular YouTube channel The Game Theorists has been making videos for years that examine some of the most popular video games of all time. Creator Matthew Patrick's most recent video is more of a personal tale about his experience meeting Pope Francis and the importance of Undertale.

Scholas, an organization led by Pope Francis and the Vatican to further understand the social intersections of technology, arts, sports, invited YouTubers to a conversation with the Pope himself. Francis was one such selected creator and traveled to Rome to engage with other users from around the world.

Following Catholic custom, Patrick presented the Pope with a gift on behalf of the culture he represents and chose a Steam code for the game Undertale. He has uploaded a lengthy video discussing the process and why he feels Undertale was the right game to choose.

New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Trailer Hits July 15

July 15 should be a glorious day for Star Wars fans. On the same day Star Wars Celebration kicks off in London, ABC is airing an hour-long special called Secrets of the Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey at 8 p.m. ET. The TV listing for this making-of special includes a summary for the inclusion of a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer that clocks in at three minutes. This trailer is a minute longer than the teaser that hit earlier this year.

If history holds true, you likely won't have to tune into the show to see the trailer. Lucasfilm has debuted Star Wars trailers on TV before, but the exclusive window has been incredibly short. The trailers released online moments after airing on TV.

We knew Star Wars Celebration would likely bring a new Rogue One trailer, but we're also anticipating news from Star Wars: Episode VIII, which wraps filming a week after the convention. Our guess is we learn the title of Episode VIII.

Deep Silver To Distribute Atlus And Sega Games In Europe

For many years, Europe has been asking for stable release expectations for Atlus’ lineup. And during that long, dark period, Atlus shrugged. Things are looking up for European gamers thanks to a new publishing deal.

Atlus and Sega are teaming up with Deep Silver, which will distribute games from the two companies in Europe and the UK. These include Persona 5, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, and Sega’s 7th Dragon Code: VFD.

While the deal was just announced today, it’s clear it’s been in the works for some time. The only question left is, how awkward was this little incident a couple of weeks ago in which the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account called out Deep Silver-published Mighty No. 9 for its critical panning?
