The Kirby Café Revealed Its Menu And It Looks Surprisingly Good

Earlier this month we reported Japan would be getting Kirby-themed cafés, however at the time of writing no information aside from its existence was available. Since then, though, the café has updated its website with new information, and its menu looks pretty awesome. From spare-ribs to pancakes, non-alcoholic cocktails to cupcakes, the menu is surprisingly diverse. There are also a lot of Kirby-themed goods and accessories going on sale at the cafés – which also double as a Kirby store. Get a look at it all in the gallery below.

The Kirby Café currently has three upcoming locations: A cafe and shop in Osaka opening on August 5, a shop-only location in Nagoya opening on August 24, and a Tokyo location with an unspecified open date.

Valve Sends Cease And Desist Notice To CS:GO Gambling Sites

Last week, shortly after YouTubers Tom Cassell and Trevor Martin were outed as owners of CS:GO Lotto, a site both of them promoted in their content without disclosing ownership, Valve issued a statement that the company would go after gambling companies centered around tradeable Steam items. Turns out Valve is living up to its promise, having sent out a cease and desist letter to 23 gambling sites centered around Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Here's the statement from Valve:

We are aware that you are operating one of the gambling sites listed below. You are using Steam accounts to conduct this business. Your use of Steam is subject to the terms of the Steam Subscriber Agreement (“SSA”). Under the SSA Steam and Steam services are licensed for persona, non-commercial use only. Your commercial use of Steam accounts is unlicensed and in violation of the SSA. You should immediately cease and desist further use of your Steam accounts for any commercial purposes. If you fail to do this within ten (10) days Valve will pursue all available remedies including without limitation terminating your accounts.

Amiibo Support Coming To Animal Crossing: New Leaf Along With New Content

Animal Crossing is reportedly getting an update this November in Japan with new content and amiibo support on 3DS.

Although titles such as Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival and Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer provided players with some Animal Crossing amiibo opportunities, now the use of figures and cards will be available within New Leaf, which was first released in the US in 2013. It seems scanning cards will allow characters to come to your village, and previous Animal Crossing figures are compatible but it's not yet known what features they will access in-game.

On Animal Crossing's Japanese website, an amiibo crossover is revealed and it looks like the Squid Sisters from Splatoon, Marie and Callie, will be able to come visit your village. In 2015, Splatoon themed neon-colored decor and costumes were made available in New Leaf via codes. Other past collaborations for in-game materials include items and skins from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Super Mario 3D World.

CS:GO Skin Gambler James 'PhantomL0rd' Varga Banned From Twitch

CS:GO Skin Gambler James 'PhantomL0rd' Varga Banned From Twitch

James "PhantomL0rd" Varga, a popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber has been booted from Twitch. Varga's streams involved a substantial amount of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) skin gambling prior to Twitch's ban of that content last week.

Yesterday, Varga's channel was replaced with a simple message. "The community has closed this channel due to terms of service violations." When we reached Twitch for comment, a representative told us it does not comment on TOS violations.

Because Twitch is remaining silent, speculation about the reason behind Varga's ban is swirling. A popular theory surfaced by esports reporter Richard Lewis is that Varga promoted without disclosure another skin gambling site, CSGOShuffle. Lewis came into possession of transcripts that allegedly paint a picture of Varga's ownership of the site, betting with house money, and rigging auctions.

Fan-Made Transformers Legos Go Dark

about X hours ago from

Transformers found a good home with KRE-O, a brick-based rival product to Lego that produced a number of great sets featuring the Autobots and Decepticons, but I'd still love to see Lego get a shot at the license. Brick builder Joe Perez shows us just how cool a Transformers Lego set could be through a stunning version of Nemesis Prime, complete with articulated fingers capable of holding Optimus Prime's decapitated head.

Nemesis Prime is likely one of the last characters Lego would base a set on, but he's a fan favorite and a character that should be explored more in the shows. You can check out more of Perez' fan-made set on his Flickr page.

Blizzard Teasing Something Big For Hearthstone

Blizzard has sent an invite for a Twitch stream event next week that it's billing as an "unforgettable adventure."

The Twitch event (on the Hearthstone channel) happens Thursday, July 28 at 11PM PDT. The invitation tells of a "once-in-a-lifetime event that will be full of magic and celebration... Please be prompt, as we have an unforgettable adventure planned." It's signed, "An old friend!"

Perhaps the reference to an adventure is a hint that it's related to the single-player mode.
