Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D Blu-Ray Contains New Deleted Scenes

The 3D version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens releases on Blu-Ray on November 15, and it offers a suite of new bonus features, including additional deleted scenes. Why these were left off of the original Blu-Ray releases disc is anyone's guess, but I'm hoping Lucasfilm took the time to finish the sequences. The deleted snowspeeder scene on the original disc is comically bad due to the unfinished CGi work.

This disc also contains a commentary track from director J. J. Abrams, which I would love to hear given just how upfront he's been in interviews about the creation of this film. Other exclusive features dive into the film's foley work, costumes, and armory. This Blu-Ray also contains a new conversation with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

I hate buying films twice, but...well...I'm a sucker for stuff like this. I don't like doing it, but I gotta see it all. Don't worry, I'll shake my fist in anger at Lucasfilm as I ring up at the checkout.

Adventure Game Rime Changes Publisher, Delayed To 2017

Little information has surfaced since Tequila Works announced Rime at Gamescom 2013, a whimsical adventure game set on an idyllic island. Now, Rime developer Tequila Works has announced that the game has been delayed to a 2017 release window, and will be headed by a different publisher.

Greybox, along with its parent company Six Foot, will be teaming up to publish the title. Back in March, we found out that Tequila Works and Sony were ending their partnership, after the developer reaquired its rights. This is the first news of a new publisher coming on since that change. At first, Rime was to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive before it parted ways with Sony.

Rime takes inspiration from Studio Ghibli films such as Spirited Away, and from games such as Ico and Wind Waker. After a young boy is shipwrecked, he finds himself on a desert island. Here, players will be tasked with solving puzzles and discovering the island's strange mysteries relating to a lost civilization. No concrete release date has been unveiled outside of it coming out next year.

Rumor: Artist Leaks Alleged Destiny 2 Concept Boards

Concept images for what appears to be for Destiny 2, which is due out in 2017, have surfaced online through artist Aziz Dosmetov's reels.

Dosmetov has previously worked on Destiny: The Taken King. Now, upcoming art for Destiny's sequel look to have been leaked. Below, we've gathered the leaked assets, a few of which portray a large "2" in the midst of smoke, flames, and decay. We also see fiery outlines of what might be new subclasses for the hunter, titan and warlock. Later images also seem to showcase The Traveler sitting over The First City, which looks to be burning. Could Destiny 2 depict the fall of the last bastion of humanity?

Bungie and Activision have offered no statement on the apparent leak. With no official confirmation from Bungie, it is unclear whether these are the real deal, and because they are concept art, the images portrayed below are subject to change in the final product.

Overwatch's Next Animated Short Will Focus On Bastion's Backstory

Overwatch's Next Animated Short Will Focus On Bastion's Backstory

Overwatch boasts a cast of diverse characters, which fans have quickly fallen in love with. Blizzard's animated shorts focus on the story of these characters before the events of the game, and Bastion will be the focus of the next in the series.

The transforming robot was controversial at the game's launch for being easy to abuse in multiplayer matches, but subsequent patches have added more balance. The Last Bastion, Blizzard's upcoming animated short, will tell fans what happened when this character awoke in the wilderness after years of inactivity.

The Last Bastion premieres exclusively onstage at Gamescom, August 18 at 9am Pacific time. Fans at home will be able to tune in on Blizzard's livestream to watch as well.
