PlayStation 4's Persona 5 Steelbook Exclusive Is One Good-looking Bonus

Back in June, Atlus announced Persona 5's premium edition, along with a steelbook case for those who get a launch-day copy of the game on PS4. Today, the publisher showed off just how spiffy that steelbook is.

The case features a black-and-white portrait of the Persona 5 cast on the outside, along with a colorful rendition of their Phantom Thieves alter-egos on the inside. The steelbook is available to anyone who pre-orders the PS4 version and will also be available in limited supplies on launch day. Check out the full art by clicking on the image below.

Persona 5 launches on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on February 14. For more on the game, check out these hot details from our interview with director Katsura Hashino.

New Women Of Power Pinball Pack Highlights Marvel's Leading Ladies

A new DLC pack from Zen Studios offers up two tables based on some of Marvel's female heroes and villains.

The two new tables, A-Force and Champions, feature a variety of Marvel's female leads, including Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Squirrel Girl, and Madame Masque. Spider-Gwen will also make an appearance, along with the notorious Bombshell, who serves as Champions' antagonist.

Zen says that both tables feature all-new storylines, which will undoubtedly facilitate all sorts of silver-ball action. For a tease of what to expect, check out the screen gallery below.

Where Is Our NBA 2K17 Review?

Where Is Our NBA 2K17 Review?

The highly anticipated NBA 2K17 finally hit store shelves today (with those who pre-ordered jumping on the court last Friday). Though we've spent a significant amount of time with the game already, the modes are so deep and varied that we still have some ground to cover before we weigh in with our official score.

Thus far, I'm very bullish on the game. The on-count action feels more fluid and physical than last year, the opposing A.I. is the best of any sport simulation game out there, and the MyGM and MyCareer modes have a ton of depth to them. After I spend some more time wrapping up the MyCareer story and testing the server reliability with some head-to-head, MyTeam, and MyPark matches, I'll be ready to drop the review. Look for it in the next few days.

Even Sonic Mania's Collector's Edition Video Is A Throwback To Classic Sonic

Last week Sega revealed a nostalgia-laden collector's edition for its upcoming Sonic Mania reboot, but the company isn't done appealing to the fond childhood memories of Sonic fans. A new mock commercial for the special edition hearkens back to a classic Sega ad.

The new video below shows off the many bonuses of the collector's edition, and we're not talking about the statuette or oversized golden ring.

Pokémon Games Are Coming To Nintendo NX

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara bolstered rumors that the Nintendo NX will be a console/handheld hybrid, while simultaneously pledging game support for the mysterious system.

Although much of the WSJ article focuses on the success of Pokémon Go, Ishihara did have some promising words for those who have been pining for a console version of Pokémon since the original release of Red and Blue.

"The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device," Ishihara told WSJ. "We will make games for the NX."

Reader Discussion – Which Bioshock Is Your Favorite?

I have a confession to make. I am a filthy Bioshock 2 apologist. Yes, we are real. We live beneath piers and oil platforms, subsisting off flounder and occasionally shouting our wretched opinions into the deep for all the creatures in the sea to hear.

Sure, the first game's got the more memorable one-liners and plot twists, but Bioshock 2 (so often dismissed as a shoddy sequel no one asked for) has a pounding heart and deeply satisfying character arcs. Also, one of the best ending monologues in anything ever.

What about you, readers? The Bioshock Collection has been out a little under a week, which means a number of you have had time to revisit all three.

Girls Make Games' BlubBlub: Quest Of The Blob Kickstarter Going After Final Push

Girls Make Games is an organization that sets up programs and camps for young women to develop video games. One of the results of the organization's initiative is BlubBlub: Quest Of The Blob, which is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter and is almost to its goal.

You can find out more about BlubBlub: Quest Of The Blob here, and Girls Make Games, the program that lead to the game's creation, here. We also spoke with founder Laila Shabir in the June 2016 issue of Game Informer magazine. The program gives girls, from ages 8-16 in 35 different cities, the necessary tools to learn about and create games. The program takes place in a summer camp setting and is fostered by supporters like Xbox, PopCap, MIT Game Lab, and more.

Among 32 teams working on games, five made it to the finals to pitch their game to judges like David Brevik (Diablo), Anna Kipnis (DoubleFine), and Katie Stone Perez (ID@Xbox). BlubBlub was the winner.

Here's What Civil War's Big Fight Scene Sounds Like with Marvel Vs. Capcom's Sound Effects

The fight scene at the airport in Captain America: Civil War is a big important set piece, but it is missing something crucial.

Thankfully, YouTube user Frob Man recognized the scene's shortcoming and fixed it – by filling it with sound effects from Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom series of games. It cheesy and silly, but strangely appropriate.

For a more serious take on Captain America: Civil War, head here for a spoiler-filled discussion.
