GameInformer News While Stormblood is probably the name of metal band in Finland, it's also the name of Final Fantasy XIV's next expansion pack slated for early summer 2017.
Square Enix showed fans at Fan Fest in Las Vegas a teaser trailer where two people punch each other on top of a large statue, which sounds very much like something in a Final Fantasy game.

Old Republic fans have banded together to create a Change.org petition to ask Netflix for a new Star Wars original series.
The petition, which as of this writing has more than 46,000 signatures, suggests that Netflix is the ideal company to produce a series set in the Old Republic era, the setting for Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
"Why Netflix was chosen was because of the wealth of great content they have produced over the years, such as Narcos, House of Cards, and especially everything that Marvel has done and is still currently working on," the petition reads.

From now until November 1, players can become a part of the shambling undead horde to get a 100% XP boost, along with themed loot items. Once you've made the transformation, killing bosses will also yield Plunder Skulls, holiday treasure chests that contain stuff like masks and Provision recipes.

Our Take
It's always great to see a game join in on some Halloween festivities. While it would be nice to activate the quest even after Hallow's Eve, it's still a cute event to bring in players.

You can't dance to silence, unless you're some kind of terrifying weirdo. Fortunately, Ubisoft has confirmed our Just Dance 2017 suspicions: The game contains songs. Better still, the publisher has released the entire tracklist for the game, which includes artists such as Justin Bieber, Sia, and Queen.
Here's the complete list for Just Dance 2017, which is coming out for – deep breath – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and the NX. They're coming out October 25 (not so fast, NX), and the game's also making its downloadable debut on PC starting October 27.

Blizzard just release the latest expansion to World of Warcraft, titled Legion, and many fans are calling it the best WoW expansion in years. For many fans this is the continuation of an epic journey that has last well over a decade. For WoW's game director Tom Chilton, however, this is actually the beginning of an entirely new adventure.
On a recent blog post, Chilton talked about his long career working on WoW and how, now that Legion is done, he will be moving onto an undisclosed new project. Assistant game director Ion Hazzikostas will be taking his place as game director for World of Warcraft.
"For me, Legion has been more than just another expansion, though—it’s the culmination of more than a decade of work with one of the best development teams I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a part of. And it’s with a mix of excitement, sadness, and gratitude that I’m saying farewell to the WoW team and moving on to a new adventure within Blizzard."

If you were looking forward to getting stalked by Jason Voorhees in the successfully-Kickstarted Friday the 13th video game this year, then you may be disappointed. However, if you wanted a single player campaign, then you're in luck.
Gun Media announced today that Friday the 13th will not fully release in 2016 but will have a beta later this year, get a multiplayer release in early 2017, and then release its solo content in summer 2017. The extra time gives Gun Media time to add the iconic Packanack Lodge map, AI bots, a playable Tommy Jarvis character, and a "single player experience," which they say was the most-requested feature.
Gun Media studio head and co-creator Wes Keltner wanted to reassure people that the decision was hard to do, but worth it in the long haul.

According to Microsoft, the Xbox One has been the best-selling console three months in a row.
The NPD numbers are not yet public, but Microsoft has issued a statement celebrating its three month streak on top. According to the statement, the Xbox One was the best-selling console in both the U.S. and U.K. (according to GfK Entertainment U.K.) for the month of September. The statement also cites growth in its Xbox Live user base, and attributes the console's recent sales success to the Xbox One S, Forza Horizon 3, and Gears of War 4.
Our TakeThe Xbox One had a rough start, but it seems to have more than caught up to PlayStation 4. I'm curious to see how next month plays out with PlayStation VR. I don't think it will boost PlayStation 4 console sales, but I am curious to see how the headset sells. I am guessing it's going to sell pretty well.
