What To Watch This Weekend: The League Of Legends Worlds Final, Overwatch's World Cup, And Street Fighter's Canada Cup

We have a cavalcade of tournaments upon us this week, both major and minor. Between League of Legends' biggest tournament wrapping up, to Dota 2's Boston Major entering its early stages, a bunch of Blizzard games having their pre-Blizzcon runups, and couple of major fighting game events, you should have more than enough to watch this weekend.

You can expect record-breaking viewership numbers for this year's League of Legends Worlds Final, which culminates a month of ridiculously intense competition in the world's biggest eSport. (Stream / Schedule)

As one major MOBA tournament sees its conclusion, another began this week. The Dota 2 Boston Major is having its regional qualifiers this week. Watch teams from the Americas, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia compete to move on to the next stage of the tournament, which will take place in (you guessed) Boston. (Stream Hub / Schedule)

Replay – Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

about X hours ago from

In 2010, right around Halloween, Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption's only single-player DLC – Undead Nightmare. It's both hilarious and horrifying and we decided to give it a look in honor of the recent announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Andrew Reiner, Jeff Cork, Ben Reeves, and myself revisit our fond Red Dead memories, kill lots of zombies, and get in the middle of all kinds of family squabbles. You can find our original review of Undead Nightmare by heading here. We usually like to look a little farther back than 2010 for Replay, and we definitely do for the second segment, when we look at PlayStation game that was sent in to us by a reader.

PSA: Steam Gets Spooky With Halloween Sale

It's almost Halloween which means Steam is having a frightful sale. Not only are some classic games discounted but there's also some horror movies and Halloween updates for other games.

There are some classic horror games on sale here including Dead Space 2 for $4.99 and Bioshock Remastered for $9.99. Some lesser known gems had their prices hacked up as well like Typing of The Dead Overkill and The Darkness 2. If you'd rather kick back with a flick the entire Saw series is up along with a couple other cult classics.

While there's plenty of big names for sale there's also some great indie titles like Viscera Cleanup Detail and Dead By Daylight that make the cut. If our recent feature on the Lovecraftian horror in Darkest Dungeon peaked your interest now seems like a good time to get it too.

John Wick director David Leitch has been helmed as the frontrunner to direct Deadpool 2 less than a week after the film had lost its presumptive director.

Tim Miller, Deadpool's director, had dropped out of directing Deadpool 2 because of 'creative differences' with Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds. David Leitch is best known for directing the 2014 action film, John Wick and its upcoming sequel John Wick: Chapter 2, but he has also worked on V for Vendetta, Fight Club, 300, and more.
