Report: Ubisoft In Talks With Netflix About Potential New Series

According to a report from Reuters, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot is in discussions with the popular streaming service Netflix. These talks are about a possible partnership for a new series likely based off one of Ubisoft's major franchises.

This news came up while Guillemot addressed Vivendi's continued attempts at a takeover and to acquire Ubisoft's stocks, which Guillemot responded to by saying that Ubisoft hopes to remain independent.

As for the Netflix series, no other details have come to light just yet. An Assassin's Creed film is planned to release in theaters later this year. Netflix has previously partnered with Activision for the animated series Skylanders Academy which debuted earlier this fall.

Race Like Tron In The Latest Addition To Grand Theft Auto Online

Rockstar is adding another piece of content to the already mammoth Grand Theft Auto Online – this time an homage to cult movie Tron.

The Deadline update (out now) adds the Nagasaki Shotaro bike – a neon-lit creation that's unlocked for purchase via the new Deadline adversary mode. This mode pits you against three other players in an arena, and like in the movie, your Shotaro emits a light trail behind it that kills on contact. Boost, Zoned (slows down time), and Hop (jump over an opponent's trail) power ups also add to the dangerous strategy.

Playing Deadline through November 21 and you can earn double GTA$ and RP, and there are other discounts and a premium race during that time as well. Click the link below to the official website for full details.

Fallout 4 Mods For PS4 Coming With Next Update

After a standoff with Sony, Fallout 4 mods are indeed coming to the PS4 version of the game, and Bethesda has announced they'll be coming with the game's next title update in November.

The 1.8 update is currently in certification, and addresses random issues in the title.

As previously reported, it's not all happy news for PS4 Fallout 4 owners, however, as the types of mods allowed are limited to those using internal assets from the game.

Reader Discussion – Would You Play A Jade Empire Sequel?

about X hours ago from

Mass Effect Andromeda is the big news today. However, let's talk about another Bioware game, yeah? Fellow editor Matt Bertz recently compiled an oral history of the company (which you can read the full version of in our latest issue) and one of the biggest stories to emerge from that was Bioware's attempts to make a sequel to Jade Empire. The developer canned the project to focus on what would eventually become Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

However, BioWare creative director Mike Laidlaw said that "Jade as a sequel is never dead," which means that the studio isn't opposed to creating a sequel. One day. Maybe.

The question then is would you play it? I know I would. Jade Empire is without a doubt the funkiest, and strangest of Bioware's entire catalog. However, it's also one of the most creative titles in a line of rich games. I'd love to see a sequel in the Frostbite engine.

Humble Bundle Offers Up Mobile Tabletop Favorites

Humble Bundle often goes out of its way to find great thematic ties to link together its game offerings, and the newest bundle is no exception. Tabletop fans can pick up the mobile digital versions of some excellent board and card games, and the price is hard to beat. However, be aware that the package won’t do you much good if you play your mobile games on an Apple device; the new bundle is exclusive to Android users.

For $1 or more, you gain access to Carcassonne and Scotland Yard. Spend $3 or more, and you acquire Splendor, Catan, and The Amazeing Labyrinth. And $5 or more nets you a Ticket To Ride, San Juan, and Galaxy Trucker.

As always, your Humble Bundle purchase lets you choose how much money goes to the developers or one of several charities.

Andromeda Initiative Orientation Video Invites Players To Join Mass Effect Mission

It’s been a big day for fans of the Mass Effect franchise. In addition to a new trailer and Game Informer’s own cover story on Mass Effect: Andromeda, we also learned details about loyalty missions in the new game, and new details about the voice cast. Electronic Arts isn’t quite ready to close out its N7 Day, as we also got new details about the Andromeda Initiative, which was first teased a few days ago

A new embedded video on the official site welcomes players to the Andromeda Initiative, and details what players can expect to learn about in the coming months. We're given some in-game fiction about what the Andromeda Initiative is, the name of its founder, and exactly what it means to join up. Outside of the fiction, by signing in to their EA accounts, players can complete “training” and eventually be rewarded with an in-game reward in the form of an exclusive helmet.

For fans of the Mass Effect storyline, the site also includes a handy timeline detailing the Mass Effect version of the history of space travel.

Final Fantasy XV To Receive Mobile MMO Spin-Off

Square Enix and Machine Zone today bring us word of a new cooperative project between the two companies – a mobile MMO rooted in the world of Final Fantasy XV. Machine Zone (also known as MZ) has found significant financial success in the free-to-play mobile market with games like Game of War: Fire Age, even as Square Enix has continued to explore various mobile options within the Final Fantasy universe, including recent releases like Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, Justice Monsters Five, and Mobius Final Fantasy

We haven’t learned much info about this new project, including a name or details about gameplay. However, an initial press release about the game reports that the game will “combine the characters, storyline, and soundtrack from Final Fantasy XV with Machine Zone’s technology, which allows millions of people around the world to play together in a single universe in real time."

No matter what emerges about this new mobile spin-off, we don't have long to wait for its parent game; Final Fantasy XV releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29. You can check out our video showing off many of the game's early activities to learn more.
