PSA: You Can Play Overwatch For Free Again This Weekend

about X hours ago from

If you still haven't checked out Blizzard's phenomenal hero shooter, this weekend will give you a taste of the competitive action for free.

The free weekend kicks off on November 18 and runs until the 21st. As with previous free weekends, participants will have access to Overwatch's full roster and all the maps. You can even check out new character Sombra! All of the game's modes will be available as well, with the exception of competitive play – an unsurprising decision given the leveling requirements needed to participate normally. Players can also level up and earn loot boxes during the weekend, which will carry over should they choose to buy the game. The free weekend is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

For a schedule of global start times and additional instructions, head to the official Overwatch homepage.

Rocket League Adds Custom Training In Next Update

about X hours ago from

Rocket League is adding a new feature to help you practice your aerials. Custom training sequences are coming in the game's next update, developer Psyonix announced today.

The update allows players to create their own training shots by placing the ball and car anywhere in the arena they want, add direction and velocity to the ball, and preview the ball's trajectory. You can also name and share your training sequences with other players. Cross-platform sharing won't initially be available, but Psyonix says they hope to add that functionality in the future.

You can read up on the full list of features over at the official site, or learn about the game's cryptic lore here.

Danganronpa Spin-Off Coming To PS4

Following the recent announcement that the main Danganronpa titles were getting ported to PS4, NIS America is giving the same treatment to Ultra Despair Girls. This off-shoot is a departure from the visual-novel style the games are known for, instead opting for third-person gunplay.

Ultra Despair Girls follows the younger sister of the first game's protagonist and Toko, a girl that when she sneezes, turns into a murderous second personality. Unfortunately, we weren't big fans of this shooter spin-off back when it was a Vita exclusive.

You can check out the new trailer and some screenshots below.

Conan O'Brien Visits YouTube's VR Lab, Hilarity Ensues

Conan O'Brien visited YouTube's VR Lab recently, and tried out several games on the HTC Vive under the guidance of lab director Tom Small.

The late night host experimented with TiltBrush, Job Simulator, and The Thrill of the Fight in virtual reality. While Conan handled VR a bit better than he got along with Final Fantasy XV, the host wasn't completely... satisfied with the experience.

Pokémon Sun And Moon Sets New 3DS Record For Shipping Over 10 Million Units

The popularity of the Pokémon series is still going strong, and the latest entry, Sun & Moon, has already broken a record. The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have shipped over 10 million units of Sun And Moon worldwide. To put that in perspective, that's 150 percent increase over Pokémon X & Y. Remember, units shipped doesn't necessarily equate sales. It just means these units have been sold to retailers. Still, it gives you a picture of what the expected demand is.

Today marks the launch of Pokémon Sun & Moon. To learn more about the game, you can read our review or watch our recent Test Chamber to see the game in action.

Our TakeThat's a lot of Pokémon Sun & Moon copies out in the world, but it's best to remember that these numbers do not indicate actual sales from the public. Units shipped means what's been sold to retailers and can indicate demand, but doesn't give the full picture about success. Nonetheless, I'd be surprised if a Pokémon game doesn't hit the top of the sales charts.

about X hours ago from

Bethesda has announced that a free update is coming to Dishonored 2 next month, adding custom difficulty settings and something that's bound to make life worth living for the completionists out there.

In addition to the new difficulty settings, which Bethesda says will let players further customize the game according to their specific playstyles, the update will also add a new game+ mode. The publisher says that further details on the update will be coming soon, including a better idea of when we can expect to see it. In the meantime, take a look at this new trailer for the game, which features the developers at Arkane Studios talking about how they approach the game's "Play your way" philosophy.
