Watch Geralt Recite His Version Of Blade Runner's 'Tears In The Rain' Monologue

This year we bid goodbye to Geralt. He's not dead, but The Witcher 3's second expansion, Blood and Wine, could be the last time we see him for a while.

Though it was likely not created as such, Youtube user Erxv1 has crafted another tearful goodbye for everyone's favorite Witcher. As a showcase for a new set of mod tools they're working on, Erxv1 had modified the game to have Geralt recite his own rendition of Rutger Hauer's "Tears in the Rain" monologue from the movie Blade Runner. Geralt reminisces about all the things he's seen over the years, then has a brief conversation with Ciri. You can watch the video below.

Erxv1 was previously responsible for another popular Witcher 3 mod, which added random encounters to the game. If you're interested in seeing how their mod tools work, Erxv1 has uploaded a showcase of the tools, which you can watch here.

about X hours ago from

You might have heard there's a new Mortal Kombat movie in the works. Of course, lots of projects are "in the works" before getting canned, but the prospect of a new, high-budget Mortal Kombat movie actually hitting theaters is now all the more likely, as the film has found a director.

As Variety reports, Simon McQuoid is currently in talks to direct the film, which James Wan (the director of the first Saw movie) is producing, among others. You may know McQuoid from the PlayStation "Michael" commercial he directed a few years ago, which featured a number of prominent PlayStation characters and revolved around the idea of the worlds we imagine when we play. You can watch that commercial here.

Weekend Warrior – Cold November Rain

Well, winter has finally struck here at Game Informer HQ. Even the Minnesota natives are bundling up and wearing hats on their way to and from work, which means it's legitimately cold out there for any transplants to the area. But that's okay, because there's still tons to do, whether it's Pokémon- or Watch Dog-flavored. What will you be playing, watching, reading, and otherwise doing this weekend? Let us know in the comments! Here's what the crew here will be up to:

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – This weekend I’ll be waist-deep in Pokémon Sun, but I’ll definitely be playing tons of Overwatch as well (still trying to figure out how to be good with Sombra). In between those two, I’ll probably start up Watch Dogs 2 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s campaign.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – What a great time for the weekend to arrive! I’m hoping to spend a ton of time with Pokemon Sun this weekend, we have the GI Game Club coming up soon! Outside of that, I’m sure I’ll pour more hours into Overwatch and some other nonsense like Planet Coaster. Have a good weekend!

Overwatch: First Strike Graphic Novel Canceled

Today, lead writer Michael Chu issued an update on the graphic novel Overwatch: First Strike. The team has decided to take the story in another direction, scrapping the project entirely. It is officially canceled.

"The original idea for the graphic novel dates back to the early days of the game's development and came from our desire to tell the story of the founding of Overwatch during the Omnic Crisis," Chu writes in a post on the Overwatch Forums."In the years since First Strike's conception, we have done a lot of development on the universe and its stories. While the core of this story remains, we have changed and expanded upon how we see the events that took place during the first days of Overwatch."

The graphic novel was supposed to tell the story of Gabriel Reyes, Jack Morrison, Ana Amari, Reinhardt Wilhelm, Torbjörn Lindholm's early days. The silver lining is that Chu says it's still a story they plan to tell at some point.

Rumor: Nintendo Switch To Get Its Own Version Of Pokémon Sun & Moon

On the heels of Pokémon Sun & Moon's launch, Eurogamer is reporting the Nintendo Switch is getting a version of the game codenamed Pokémon Stars. Eurogamer says multiple (unnamed) sources confirmed the game is "well into development and will launch in 2017."

The report claims that Pokémon Stars is being developed by the Sun & Moon team at Game Freak, would have expanded features, and allow trading with the newest 3DS games. It's said to use the same map and cities as Pokémon Sun & Moon as well, but you expect higher resolution on the Switch.

If true, this would be the first time the same generation of a Pokémon game would span multiple consoles, and it would also be the first mainline Pokémon game to hit a home console.
