Gun For The New GTA Online Kill Quota

The minds over at Rockstar Games have just unleashed a new way to play online in Grand Theft Auto V: Kill Quota – a new team-based adversary mode for up to 16 players.

The mode starts out with four loadouts. Each loadout starts with a powerful weapon, like a railgun or RPG, and once you hit the round's designated body count, you'll progress to a less-powerful weapon. By the final round – a one-hit kill round – all you'll have in your hands is a pool cue or knife.

Also coming to the game are a new vehicle (the Bravado Youga Classic), Thanksgiving GTA $/RP bonuses, discounts on GTA Online items, and a premier race (High Flier).

Latest NBA 2K17 Patch Cleans Up Dribbling Animations

A couple weeks after the big 1.05 patch released, Visual Concepts just pushed another round of fixes to the public for its critically acclaimed hoops game, NBA 2K17.

Today's 7.4GB patch, which is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, addresses elements of many game modes. Gameplay director Mike Wang discussed some changes his team made to the dribbling animations on Twitter, saying, "Some moves were 'cheating the ball bounce,' allowing you to chain into moves earlier than you were supposed to, also allowing for rapid changes in momentum. Transitions should be more realistic now and less twitchy."

Reader Discussion – What Games Are You Playing Over The Holiday?

Turkey. Gravy.Time with relatives you probably don't want to see.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and for many of you that means some extra time to game away between servings of stuffing and casserole. So, what are you going to be playing? As far as I'm concerned, I've still got to do a second playthrough of Dishonored 2 and I really want to finish up Mafia III.

Oh and another playthrough of Titanfall 2 because it's the best.

Beta Patch Targets A Host Of Dishonored 2's Issues On PC

Dishonored 2 earned solid scores across the board, including from our own Matt Bertz, but things have been a little spotty on the PC front. Bethesda has released a new beta patch for the game, which addresses a host of performance issues, bugs, framerate problems, and other annoyances.

Players who are interested in checking out the fixes can simply log into Steam, and then navigate to properties under the game's entry. From there, select betas and then BetaPatch. The download should begin shortly after that.

The fixes include general stability improvements, some crash fixes, and addressing a bunch of input bugs. The patch notes are extensive, and you can check them out in their entirety here.

Smite Gives The Gods A Holiday

The pantheon of Smite is getting into the holiday spirit with an event that adds new content. There are new avatars and a dance emote, and six characters get new themed skins.

Smite's drastically different MOBA design earned high marks with us back when we reviewed it, particularly with its over-the-shoulder camera as opposed to the isometric view of other games in the genre.

Recently the game was ported over to the PS4, and it's also getting a spin-off called Smite Tactics.

Survival Co-op Mode Coming To Uncharted 4

Keeping in line with their drip-feed of free content, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is getting a survival cooperative mode in mid-December.

Uncharted 4: Survival puts up to three players against up to 50 waves of increasingly harder enemies over 10 maps on any difficulty. Pirate Warlord bosses invade every 10 waves, as evidenced by the Djinn-wielding Henry Avery in the trailer.

Survival mode also gives players some non-combat-oriented objectives like collecting items, defending a specific area, or taking out marked enemies. Modifiers also change the game up even further by enforcing specific limits like only dealing damage through pistols, melee attacks, or headshots .

Console Lucio Player Moves To PC, Drops Beats On Everyone

YouTuber DSPStanky made waves a couple months back with a video highlight reel demonstrating elite-level skills playing as Overwatch's Lucio. Incredible wall-riding, hilarious boops, and perfectly-timed ultimates string together into an almost unbelievable chain of beat-dropping perfection.

Amazing as this was, there were the inevitable comments: "Try pulling this off on PC."

Not one to take a challenge lying down, DSPStanky built a new PC and started from square one.
