Facebook has announced that Hugo Barra will lead the Oculus team and head up all the company's virtual reality efforts.
Barra helped create the Android OS and has worked with Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi.
"Hugo shares my belief that virtual and augmented reality will be the next major computing platform," reads Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg's introductory post for Barra.
After years of working with a diverse array of publishers like Activision, Capcom, and Telltale, Marvel is adding a new partnership to its stable. Today the company announced a new deal with Square Enix to create triple-A games from the Marvel franchises, starting with The Avengers.
Square Enix is tapping two of its most accomplished Western developers for the project, with logos for Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) and Eidos Montreal (Deux Ex: Mankind Divided, Thief) both appearing in the teaser trailer. The teaser doesn't reveal any gameplay, but sends the strong suggestion that the first game features Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America, the latter two who eventually spearhead factions in the Civli War dust-up.

After the smashing success of Dirt Rally, Codemasters is returning to its mainstay Dirt off-road racing series with Dirt 4.
The game is scheduled for a June release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and while details are scarce at the moment, Codemasters has already revealed a rally route creation tool it's calling Your Stage.
Players select the location and route parameters, and the game does the rest to create rally stages you can then race and share with others.
Bandai Namco and developer Level-5 have announced that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will release on the PC (alongside PS4), bringing the RPG series to the platform for the first time.

In promotion of the upcoming Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World for 3DS, Nintendo has put together a handful of stop-animated shorts starring Yoshi and Poochy. They're very cute.

Snap, an interesting, but admittedly rarely used by most, feature of the Xbox One is getting replaced in the next update in order to improve overall speed.
Xbox platform head Mike Ybarra revealed the upcoming change in a tweet writing, "We replaced Snap to improve multitasking, reduce memory use, improve overall speed, and free up resources going forward for bigger things." Multi-tasking will still be available, as Microsoft details in this blog for the upcoming update, but no mention of Snap is made. The blog offers some additional teases of what's to come for the Xbox One dashboard, including visual changes, and the plans to speed up the console's performance.

Today MLB The Show 17 developer Sony San Diego Studio revealed pre-order bonuses for the title's various versions, as well as a few additional details about its Retro mode.

Mobius Final Fantasy released on mobile devices in North America last year, and now its heading to PC via Steam. Just like on mobile, the RPG will remain free-to-play on Steam.
Mobius tell its own unique story in the Final Fantasy universe. Development was headed by producer Yoshinore Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima, both of whom had a hand in bringing Final Fantasy VII to life. View the trailer below to learn more about the game.

A free update is coming to Hitman next week, and it will deliver a new difficulty level called Professional Difficulty, offering a more challenging experience. Professional Difficulty will become available to players in locations where they reach Mastery Level 20.
Once that level is reached, the difficulty can be selected in all Story missions in Season One outside of the prologue. Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts, however, will only be playable on the original difficulty level. This new difficulty introduces more restrictions to item availability, enemies and security cameras with advanced AI, limited save files and more rewards.
As for Hitman's leaderboards, they will now be separated by categorized by different difficulty levels.
