Super Mario Run Comes To Android Devices Next Week

After months of letting Android users pre-register to be notified when the game would be available to download, Nintendo has announced Super Mario Run's Android release date: March 23.

As is the case on iOS, the game will be free for everyone to try and offer access to its first three levels. You can then buy the whole thing for $10. If you're thinking that might be too much for a mobile game, make sure to check Kyle Hilliard's review of the game, as well as our Test Chamber before buying.

Standard Edition Of Persona 5 Comes With A Skin For Your DualShock 4

Standard Edition Of Persona 5 Comes With A Skin For Your DualShock 4

Atlus is no stranger to special editions, goodies, and bonuses. Persona 5's limited edition, for example, included a all sorts of fun stuff for fans. But you can't get one of those now unless you're willing to pay ridiculous aftermarket prices. If you're still looking for some sort of bonus, though, Atlus has you covered.

Every copy of the standard edition of Persona 5 comes with a skin you can attach to your DualShock 4 controller (or any controller, technically, but I wouldn't recommend it). The skin fits on over the controller quite nicely and showcases some of the characters from the game. The video does not show a skin for the PlayStation 3 version of the game, which means that version will likely not come with a skin.

You can watch Atlus' former PR Manager John Hardin (now at NCSoft) and Ann Takamaki voice actor Erika Harlacher unveil and slap the skin on one of the controllers below.

Overwatch Patch Reworks Lúcio, Adds New Path In Eichenwalde Map

Overwatch Patch Reworks Lúcio, Adds New Path In Eichenwalde Map

Lúcio has long been the healer of choice for Overwatch players, even as Ana and Mercy have stepped in and out of favor in the competitive and casual scenes. However, while the best Lúcios could pull off some incredible feats, his effectiveness often relied on him simply standing there, healing or speed-boosting everyone.

Blizzard hopes to address this issue of passivity in its latest patch, now live on the PC-only Public Test Realm. The patch reduces the effective range of the character's auras from 30 to 10 meters, but makes them 50 percent stronger. Additionally, he is now faster while wall-riding, and his Sonic Amplifier alt-fire now factors in your aim a bit better when blasting foes away from him.

The Eichenwalde map has also been reworked, adding a new path near the attacking team's starting area that leads to the capture point. A few minor changes also include reduced draw games in Competitive Play through a system that accounts for how much of a point each team has captured on maps like Eichenwalde and Hanamura, as well as the ability to save custom game settings as presets, making it easier to start new servers without having to tinker with the default settings again.

Weekend Warrior – (Not) Switching It Up

With more Nintendo Switches on the way, plenty left to discover in Horizon Zero Dawn, and Mass Effect's siren call ringing in our ears, we're perfectly happy to stay right where we are this St. Patrick's Day weekend. (There was a disappointing amount of green in the office today, by the way, but thankfully even less pinching.)

What are your plans for the weekend? Beauty and the Beast? Harry Potter board games? Or will you be hunkering down with your Switch like the rest of us? Let us know in the comments below!

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend I want to not only play a lot of Zelda, but actually lick and then crawl inside my TV and live in Hyrule. If you can help with this mission, please send an email to hanson@gameinformer.com.

This Limited Edition Uncharted Statue Shows Off One Of Drake's Most Brutal Finishers

This Limited Edition Uncharted Statue Shows Off One Of Drake's Most Brutal Finishers

Uncharted's rugged hero, Nathan Drake, has a slew of cool moves at his disposal, but none carry the visceral impact of his signature aerial takedown, in which he pounces on his foe from a high ledge and punches them with the force of a freight train. Now, Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment America are immortalizing the iconic maneuver with a limited edition collectable statue.

Only 1,500 of the 20-inch polystone figures are being produced, and they are available for pre-sale now, for the sarcastically low price of $350.00! Sure, it may be out of the price range of all but the most die-hard collectors, but at least it's not as pricey as that Mortal Kombat X Goro statue!

Fly To Hyrule Castle On This Breath Of The Wild Airship

Fly To Hyrule Castle On This Breath Of The Wild Airship

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of our favorite games this year, in large part due to the freedom it gives players to explore and experiment with new mechanics. For example, using a fire sword keeps you warm in cold climates, octoroks will eat rusted weapons and spit out rust-free versions, and attaching octorok balloons to a raft will result in a first-class ticket to Calamity Ganon.

YouTube user BeardBear posted the video below showing how to reach Ganon via airship. Using a raft, the paraglider, and about 60 octorok balloons, Link was able to bypass the majority of the obstacles along the path to Hyrule Castle's inner sanctum. Granted, BeardBear's plan went a little sideways toward the end, but it's still an entertaining and creative approach to travel to the final boss in style.

Master Gamer Spends 50 Dollars On Arcade Games At Dave & Busters, Wins A Nintendo Switch

As many of you probably know, it's near impossible to find a Switch for the suggested retail price right now. In a world where people are scrambling to drop a hundred dollars more on the Switch through Ebay and third-party sellers, one gamer got their hands on a Switch for $50 by using their skills at arcade games.

Reddit user Dragon Slaayer collected over a 100,000 points at Dave & Busters, only spending $50 on the games they played, and used the points to buy a Switch. Dragon Slaayer showed off a picture of their Switch and the redemption receipt as proof:

You can read the whole thread here if you want, where Dragon Slaayer dives into the time it took to win the console as well as other consoles they've won over the years, including two PS4s and Wii U.

PSA: Nier Automata Is Available On PC Starting Today

Nier Automata hit PS4 a few weeks ago. The game is now available on PC.

Our reviewer, Joe Juba, found it a bit rough in places but also filled with interesting moments.

Some parts of Nier: Automata genuinely thrilled and surprised me, but it is a constant exercise in sacrifice. Combat has improved compared to the original Nier, but it still isn’t fully engaging. The progression system has cool ideas, but doesn’t offer enough depth. The premise is fascinating, but it is dulled by repetition. Ultimately, tapping into the sad and unique story that flows under the surface of Nier: Automata makes these trade-offs worthwhile, but I’m disappointed by how deeply it’s buried.

Nintendo Plans To Double Production Of The Switch

According to The Wall Street Journal, Nintendo will be increasing the production of its new console for the next financial year, producing 16 million units. This comes on the heels of the company's stock price shooting up 10% as well as the nearly unanimous critical acclaim for The Switch's launch title, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.

It's worth noting that The Switch also broke the 48-hour sales record for a console debut from Nintendo.

You can read our review of the console here.
