Next Pokémon Go Update Provides Guaranteed Way To Get Ultra-Rare Evolution Items

Since the introduction of Gen 2 monsters into Niantic's popular app Pokémon Go, players have noted that the new evolution items that are required to evolve select creatures are too rare. The items, which are collected from Pokéstops, currently feature the lowest drop-rate of any item in the game. Niantic looks to remedy that with its next Pokémon Go title update, which is coming soon to both iOS and Android.

Now, when players complete their seven-day streak, which is achieved by activating at least one Pokéstop daily for seven consecutive days, they will receive a guaranteed evolution item. The item is chosen at random from the list of available evolution items and will be rewarded on the first Pokéstop activated on the seventh consecutive day.

If you're unfamiliar with the evolution items, here are which Pokémon they each affect. In order to evolve the following creatures, you need the evolution item in addition to the necessary candies.

Overwatch Director Says Map Editor Could Come In Distant Future

On the heels of today's Overwatch title update, director Jeff Kaplan popped into a forum thread to talk about one of Blizzard's long-term plans with Overwatch. The thread's topic was if a map editor would ever come to the game, and Kaplan provided some clarity on topic.

"We are extremely open-minded about releasing a map editor for Overwatch someday," Kaplan posted on the Battle.net forums. "But because Overwatch was made with a brand new engine, this is not a small task or one which can happen any time soon. We have this on our long-term road map and believe heavily in user-made content. But there are many challenges ahead of us and it will be a very long road before our editor can be made available to the public."

Overwatch released in 2016 to widespread critical acclaim. The team-based first-person shooter scored our highest review honor and even took secured our 2016 Game of the Year award. The shooter has received regular content updates including new heroes, maps, modes, and events. The most recent content update hit earlier today and added a new tank hero named Orisa.

New Grand Theft Auto Online Update Adds Stunt Race Props, New Vehicle

Just last week, Rockstar Games introduced the Special Vehicle Circuit to Grand Theft Auto Online's continually expanding roster of modes and features. Now they're back at it again, adding new tools for race creators and a new vehicle with which to dominate the competition.

The Stunt Race Creation mode is being enhanced with support for the Ruiner 2000, Blazer Aqua, and Rocket Voltic cars, as well as the brand new Hijak Ruston, a low-riding Sports-class vehicle. New props have been added to further expand the possibilities of Stunt Races. Boost refills will keep vehicles going faster for longer than ever before, and Stunt Tubes will send racers on a psychedelic trip until they reach the other side. Finally, breakable walls and explosive crates will ensure that races have enough crashing and smashing to satisfy fans of vehicular carnage.

All of these additions are now live in Grand Theft Auto Online, but more updates and game modes are on their way in the coming months.
