Hasbro Releasing New Star Wars Black Series Vehicles This Fall

Luke Skywalker and Rey have a lot in common. They are both orphans stranded on desert planets with beat-up speeders as vehicles. Some fans also think they share the same blood, but we'll have to wait until Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in theaters this December for that answer.

Hasbro is celebrating both of these fan favorites with deluxe 6" Black Series figures and vehicles. Luke comes with his X-34 Landspeeder, and Rey can ride her Jakku speeder. Luke features a removable hat and goggles, as is equipped with a slugthrower rifle and macrobinoculars. Rey also has a removable mask, a satchel, and can wield her staff. Both figures are slated for a fall release with an MSRP of $59.99.

Nintendo Discontinues Production Of NES Classic Edition

After selling over 1.5 million NES Classic Editions and still being unable to keep up with demand, Nintendo has discontinued production of the NES Classic, a Nintendo representative confirmed to Game Informer today.

Throughout April, [Nintendo of America] territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year," the representative said in a statement. "We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product."

Anyone interested in picking one up should probably do so now, and be prepared to pay some high eBay fees if they're unlucky. To see if the system is worth hunting around for, check out Joe Juba's review, and watch us take it for a spin below.

Dubbed the "RAAM Emergence Pack", the gear pack is available now for $4.99, and includes five cards. A newly introduced mega pack is available for $9.99, for those looking to get a little more bang with their buck, and includes 10 cards, as well as a guaranteed chance to get one of the characters in the set. A $24.99 option is also available, bundling together three mega packs at a slight discount.

Included in the packs are RAAM, Kantus,  and Savage Kantus, as well as a myriad of weapon skins befitting the Locust leader. There is also a slight chance to get a V-Day Bernie skin early, before she is available as a craft-only character later this month.

Fans just can't seem to escape the wrath of RAAM. His last major appearance was last year as a guest character in Killer Instinct, which you can read more about here. We quite liked Gears 4 when we reviewed it last year. You can read the review right here.

Bandai Namco Teases New Project With Animated Trailer

Bandai Namco Teases New Project With Animated Trailer

Bandai Namco has released a trailer for an upcoming, untitled project. The company says the animated style of the trailer is "inspired" by the game (which likely means the won't look exactly like this when it reveals next week). The trailer ends with the Twitter hashtag "#preparetodine" which, considering the company has Dark Souls (whose complete edition was dubbed "Prepare To Die") under its belt, could be indicative of what form the game takes, or at least, the tone it's going for.

The animated trailer cycles through a number of dark images, such as a woman licking blood off her chin as she's enveloped by dark ribbons, a figure in a bright-red feathered cloak approach a chapel, and a hand holding a torn playing card. Multiple people are wearing gas masks, and much of the imagery looks similar to Bloodborne's Victorian aesthetic, though a dumpster in one of the shots indicates the game may take place closer to modern times.

The company also said we can expect a larger announcement for the title on April 20. You can watch the trailer below.

Pokémon Go's Easter-Like Event Hatches Today

This Sunday is Easter, and Pokémon Go is getting into the holiday spirit in a completely nondenominational way. The Eggstravaganza (their name, don't blame us) starts today at 1 p.m. Pacific and lasts seven days.

Players have access to a variety of bonuses, including double XP, more variety from 2 km eggs, and additional candy rewards for hatching eggs. If you feel like plunking down some more cash, Lucky Eggs are half off in the in-game shop.

Good luck out there!

Women Of Star Wars Featured In New Animated Show

In an upcoming animated series called Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, Lucasfilm is telling new "bite-sized" stories featuring the women of Star Wars. The show utilizes a different animated style than we've seen for Star Wars, but still strives for authenticity, especially in the cast. Daisy Ridley reprises her role as Rey, Felicity Jones is Jyn Erso, Lupita Nyong'o is Maz Kanata, Ashley Eckstein is Ahsoka Tano, Matt Lanter is Anakin Skywalker, Tiya Sircar is Sabine Wren, and Vanessa Marshall is Hera Syndulla.

Each episode is two to three-minutes in length and will air in July on Disney's YouTube page. After they are released, a two-part special with eight additional episodes will air on Disney Channel in the fall.

A Look At Star Wars Celebration's Popular Collectible Pins

If you attend this year's Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, FL, don't be surprised if you are approached by random people asking if you have pins to trade. Star Wars Celebration's pin trading program is one of the show's most popular activities, and with 40 new pins to collect this year, it'll likely be a madhouse. Lucasfilm contracted artist Derek Laufman to design one pin for each year of Star Wars' 40-year history. That means every generation of Star Wars is covered, from A New Hope to Rebels.

Six pins were made available for pre-order in March. The Luke and Yoda and R2-D2 and C-3PO two-packs sold out immediately, but supplies of Admiral Ackbar and Lando are still available. Once purchased, the pins can only be picked up at the show.

To obtain the other pins, showgoers will have to hunt them down. Some pins are exhibitor exclusives, meaning you'll have to go to each booth to see who has them. Others can only be obtained by trading with Star Wars Celebration staff members. The final batch is available in the Celebration store, which often draws hour-plus-long lines. Here are the store exclusives:
