Prison Architect Creators Announce Scanner Sombre, Out This Week

Introversion Software, creators of games with simple, colorful graphics and deceptively simple systems like Prison Architect, Darwinina, and Uplink, have announced the title and surprise launch date of their next game, Scanner Sombre.

The studio's first dive into the first-person games, Scanner Sombre has you navigating dark caves populated only by a sea of dots which form spattered outlines of the environments you're navigating. Introversion likens the game to Gone Home, Proteus, and Firewatch, which should give you some clue as to the game's direction as a "cave exploration experience." The game hits this Wednesday, April 26, and you can watch its trippy trailer below.

The Persona 5 'Phan-Site' Is Now A Real Website

In Persona 5, the Phantom Thieves (your group of best friends) end up with a "Phan-Site" devoted to covering, encouraging, and expanding their exploits. recently, someone decided to make the in-game website real. Beware of spoilers!

Phansite.net is heavily stylized after the game's red-on-back (or is it black-on-red?) color scheme and features many of the features characters in Persona 5 mention, such as a poll asking in-game questions (today's is "Is Medjed just?"), the ability to leave a comment on the site's main page for everyone to see (some of which are NSFW), and a working message board.

Many of the site's posters seem to be posting in-character, requesting targets for the Phantom Thieves to take down, while others are looking for spoil major plot points from the game, so look at your own risk. We don't know who's behind the site, but, in keeping with the game's fiction, it's probably better that way.
