[Update] The Silver Case Patch Fixes Inaccessible Chapters

Update 4/25/17: Patch 1.01 has resolved the issue of the missing chapters. Players will have to clear the game's final chapter again in order to access them, but they should be there now.

Original Story: One of this week's notable releases is The Silver Case, an HD remaster of the first game by Grasshopper Manufacture. The intricate tale of murder and corporate corruption had lots of the strange moments that have since become synonymous with games from developer Goichi Suda. But even if this sounds up your alley, you may want to hold off before choosing which version to buy.

The game is currently available on PC and PS4, with the latter receiving two extra epilogue chapters (even though one of them has "prologue" in the title). However, as of this writing, we have not been able to access those additional chapters even after finishing the rest of the game. Publisher NIS America has confirmed this is a known issue, and plans to release a patch to fix this issue "as soon as possible." The additional chapters are also headed to the PC version, so if you're thinking of picking up the PS4 version to get those first, you have a little more time to make your decision.

Creator Of DDoS Malware Program Sentenced To Two Years' Jail Time

The Central Criminal Court of England and Wales found 20-year-old Adam Mudd guilty after he admitted to creating a malware program designed to perform "distributed denial of service" (DDoS) attacks on computer networks. Mudd's Titanium Stresser malware is thought to have caused 1.7 million cyber attacks since its creation in 2013.

Mudd sold the malware under a pseudonym, accumulating nearly $400,000 from his 112,000 registered users. Included in the estimated 666,000 IP addresses that have been attacked by Titanium Stresser are several high-profile gaming companies, such as Microsoft's Xbox Live services, Minecraft, and the MMORPG Runescape. The DDoS attacks from Titanium Stresser overloaded these companies' networks with too much data, interrupting their connection to the Internet and leaving them unable to process user requests.

In an effort to make the sentence a strong deterrent to future cyber criminals, the judge sentenced Mudd to two years of jail, which will be served in a young offenders' institution.

Report: Vivendi Plans To Make Its Big Ubisoft Play This Year

Vivendi has steadily acquired shares of Ubisoft for more than a year now, but apparently Vivendi will be speeding up its acquisition plans for the game company. According to Reuters, Vivendi is expected to move forward with a move to acquire the gaming giant within the year.

Sources within the company tell Reuters that the accelerated timeline is in part a move to smooth over relations with shareholders, who are apparently losing faith in Vivendi's leadership. The company's shares have fallen three percent over as many years. One of the sources said that, if the ultimate price of a takeover was too high, Vivendi's leadership could consider acquiring companies in China.

Vivendi currently owns 25.15 percent of Ubisoft, though it said as recently as December that it was not considering acquiring control of the company within the next six months.

D.Va Coming To Heroes Of The Storm, Getting Crossover Skin

Blizzard's latest content update for Heroes of the Storm arrives today, which includes a new Overwatch-like crate system and a slew of cosmetics. It only stands to reason that the shooter gets more representation in the MOBA mashup, and the studio has revealed another familiar face is joining its ranks. D.Va is coming to Heroes of the Storm, and you can see her in action (at least in CG form) in a new teaser trailer.

The clip shows the new Hanamura battleground and a battle between Genji (both battleground and Genji are live today) against Diablo. Things aren't looking too hot for the cybernetic ninja – it is Diablo, after all – but then D.Va shows up to even the odds.

Free Swimsuit DLC Out Now For Persona 5

Persona 5 has been out for a few weeks, and the PlayStation Store is already host to a slew of DLC for the critically acclaimed JRPG, mostly in the form of cosmetic options for the main cast.

To celebrate the success of the latest entry in the long-running series, the most recent batch of costumes includes a free bonus. The Swimsuit Set is free and allows players to deck out their crew in stylish beachwear. It's ridiculous, but who are we to argue with free content? Besides, if it's too silly for you, there's the Regular Clothes & School Uniforms Set from April 11, which is also free, to say nothing of the tons of premium costumes available for purchase, including an upcoming set based on Atlus's cult hit Catherine, due next week.

Persona 5 is out now on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. For more, check out our review, and a rundown on the basics of the series.

Resident Evil 7's Free DLC Is Delayed

Capcom has announced that it is delaying the planned spring release of Resident Evil 7's Not a Hero DLC.

Producer Masachika Kawata, executive producer Jun Takeuchi, and director Koshi Nakanishi offered a personal apology and explanation for the delay (check out the video below), saying that the DLC "was not good enough" to match the quality of the game itself.

Capcom has not provided a new release timeframe for the DLC, but did assure fans that it is still free.
