SteamWorld Quest Gets An April Release Date

SteamWorld's newest entry, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech, is coming to the Switch on April 25. The game follows the same cutesy, steampunk aesthetic as past games, SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist, but this time around is a turn-based, card-battling RPG.

You can watch the trailer above to see a fight against a large mushroom named Gomphus or read our preview of the game for our early impressions. It is currently only slated for release on Switch, but will come to other consoles at some point down the road.

Awesome Batman Versus Joker Battle Diroama On The Way For $800

Iron Studios' next high-end statue pits the Dark Knight against his greatest foe. The details in this piece are stunning and perfectly capture the brute strength of Batman and the surprising agility of Joker. If you look closely you will also see the Robin's cape draped over a garbage can. Joker is also wielding the instrument he used to take down Batman's side kick. While this scene screams of of the Death in the Family story arc that showed us Jason Todd's last days, it's just a nod, as Batman's costume is modern in design.

This statue is 1/6 scale, and stands in at 20-inches in height and 20.5-inches in width. Iron Studios says its hand painted and made of polystone. Preorders are open now, but the diorama won't ship until January of 2020.

New Character Posters For Avengers: Endgame May Finally Reveal The Fates Of Every Hero Post-Infinity War

Just one month away from the premiere of Avengers: Endgame, Marvel has released new character posters for the entirety of its superhero lineup, and the photos may finally give us definitive answers about who survived The Snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

We've organized the character posters into two galleries for you below: one features characters we know for certain survived The Snappening. The second gallery, which depicts characters in black and white, features heroes we know turned to dust at the end of Infinity War. Certain characters' fates have been up in the air since Infinity War, like Valkyrie, Shuri, and Pepper Potts, so it's pretty safe to assume their fates based on their character posters: Valkyrie and Pepper's photos are in color, but Shuri (sadly) seems to have bitten the dust.

In the video, the two main characters (hints of co-op play?) grapple, fling, and melee combo enemy thugs into oblivion.

A release date for the side-scrolling beat em' up is yet to be announced. While you wait for more news on the game, check out the latest Mortal Kombat 11 trailer that also showcases a bevy of bone-crushing knuckle sandwiches.

Electronic Arts Is Laying Off 350 People From Its Marketing, Operations, and Publishing Divisions

Electronic Arts is laying off 350 people from its marketing, publishing, and operations teams in a move to addresses challenges that reflect the changing landscape of games. This news was shared by Andrew Wilson, Electronic Arts' CEO, in a blog posted on the company's website. Wilson also said the company is ramping down on its presence in Japan and Russia as it tries to make an impact in those markets.

"This is a difficult day," Wilson says in the post. "The changes we’re making today will impact about 350 roles in our 9,000-person company. These are important but very hard decisions, and we do not take them lightly. We are friends and colleagues at EA, we appreciate and value everyone’s contributions, and we are doing everything we can to ensure we are looking after our people to help them through this period to find their next opportunity. This is our top priority."

These layoffs come on the heels of Telltale closing its doors, Activision Blizzard cutting hundreds of jobs, and ArenaNet downsizing to restructure its business.

Microsoft has revealed the roster for April's Games With Gold, which skews heavily toward the sci-fi end of the spectrum.

First up is The Technomancer, an RPG that Reiner wrote about a while ago in his column. The Xbox One game is available throughout the month of April. Starting April 16, players can download the action-adventure game Outcast – Second Contact set in – you guessed it – a sci-fi inspired open world.

The Xbox version of Pandemic's Star Wars Battlefront II is coming April 15 via backward compatibility, followed a day later by the Xbox 360 game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2.

Where's Our MLB The Show 19 Review?

Before we can release a review of MLB The Show 19, we still need to dedicate more time to various aspects of the game, including online play. Coming off of a year filled with server issues, frustrating card collecting, and modes being removed, Sony has a lot to prove. Over the last four days, I dedicated roughly 25 hours to MLB The Show 19, and can say Sony is swinging for the fences both with new avenues of play and significant tweaks to existing modes. I'm pleased with what I've experienced.
