First Chance At A Pokémon Go Legendary Raid Coming This Weekend

Niantic and The Pokémon Company are hosting the first Pokémon Go Fest this weekend in Chicago, and it could end up being quite legendary. Last week, the companies teased some info about what's coming to the event, and now we've got some more specifics. In short, it could mark the first time that players get to capture legendary Pokémon.

During Pokémon Go Fest, which is being held July 22 in Chicago's Grant Park, trainers at the event will try to capture special Pokémon during timed challenges. They'll be aided by the efforts of players worldwide, who can extend the length of bonuses for the attendees by capturing Pokémon of their own. If everything goes according to plan and the trainers meet their Pokéquotas, they'll be able to participate in the first legendary Pokémon raid. If it's defeated, that Pokémon will start showing up in other legendary raid battles worldwide once the event is over.

Niantic isn't saying which legendary Pokémon we're talking about here, but a trailer below might give you a few hints.

Paul McCartney's Hope For The Future Is Hidden In The Destiny 2 Beta

Back in 2015 we asked The Taken King's creative director (who is also Destiny 2's director) Luke Smith, if Paul McCartney’s song exists in-universe, considering the music video with the former Beatle singing it to assorted guardians (seen below). We also asked him if they thought the music was actually cool.

Smith seemed unsure at the time, but this Easter Egg, shown here by YouTuber Alex Woodcock, might be a confirmation of our long-held theory that Sir Paul McCartney is alive and well and still making music in the future fictional world of Destiny.

Ron Howard Shares First Photo Of Lando From The Untitled Han Solo Film

Star Wars films are shot with the highest level of securit...wait...oh no... Ron Howard shared another photo from the set on Instagram. This one contains a first look at a beloved character!

In the rush to fill the director's seat for the untitled Han Solo film, we're guessing Lucasfilm forgot to have Howard sign NDAs. Either that, or he's clearly having a blast working on this film, and loves to tease fans. Howard was brought in to finish the film after Christopher Miller and Phil Lord parted ways with Lucasfilm over creative differences.

The latest image shared by Howard is our first legitimate look at actor Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. He doesn't have a cape, but he has something better: the Millennium Falcon.
