Homestuck Video Game Hiveswap Gets Launch Date, Trailer, And Toby Fox Tunes

The Homestuck game, originally pitched as a Kickstarter in 2012, has finally gotten a release date of September 14.

The Kickstarter earned two million dollars, but was then plagued by radio silence over the last five years, with many doubting the game would ever see release. The game saw several delays and even changed developers twice, so the abrupt launch trailer and release date come as a bit of a surprise.

The game even features music from Undertale creator and composer Toby Fox, who made music for the proto-Homestuck, MS Paint Adventures.

Kentucky Route Zero Heading To Switch With Final Episode Next Year

Kentucky Route Zero may be the most long-winded episodic game in existence. When episode one released back in January of 2013, few would have thought the game's journey to completion would taken this long. Next year, however, we'll finally see the game end, and it's coming to Switch early next year.

Annapurna Interactive will help developer Cardboard Computer release the game on the Nintendo console, where it will add the subtitle "TV Edition." The Switch version will include all five of acts, as well as every interlude. The game will release in early 2018. For a discussion on the game's fourth episode and what makes the series so great, head here.

Catch Up On Destiny Lore Ahead Of The Sequel With This Video

Do you have 90 minutes to spare and have a burning interest in Destiny lore before Destiny 2? Did you play Destiny but need a refresher on the story? Did you play Destiny and just not absorb any of the story, which is I assume most people? Then here's a video for you!

This Destiny lore recap by Youtuber "My name is Byf" takes you on a wild ride through the Destiny lore and timeline, both of which were curiously missing from the first game. The top of the video goes through a list of the things the video will not cover, then goes on to explain everything you can ever need to know about Destiny's story and world.

The video is not unlike the kind that interprets and explains FROM Software's Souls games, which helped enrich the community with discussion of how to interpret the story. Whichever direction Destiny 2 ends up taking its story, hopefully Bungie nails it this time.

Say Hello To Kazuga Ichiban, The Next Hero Of The Yakuza Series

Long before Yakuza 6 was announced to come to America, Sega and the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio in charge of the Yakuza series made it clear that the sixth installment would be Kazuma Kiryu's final entry as protagonist. From Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6, Kiryu has aged 28 years, and deserves a long rest.

That is where Kazuga Ichiban steps in.

Over the weekend, the RGG Studio held an event where they revealed a number of things, including the new protagonist taking over the series. A short trailer was made of an enemy attacking Kiryu and Kazuga intervening before realizing who he just met. It is unknown of the trailer is meant as anything other a what-if introduction, as it takes place with a younger Kiryu that resembles his Yakuza Kiwami 2 look.

This Battlegrounds Player Fakes Being Part Of Another Team And Then Kills Them All

This Battlegrounds Player Fakes Being Part Of Another Team And Then Kills Them All

In PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, some people do their best to push the boundaries of what the game allows them to do. The game only allows squads of four, so to get around that, players queue up at the same time, then communicate internally to figure out how to meet up and work together.

In this case, an infamous Chinese team does it by all wearing red shirts.

You might be thinking, that plan has a lot of flaws, what if someone else has a red shirt? That is exactly what happens with this Korean player whose entire team had been wiped out comes across the Red Shirts. Thinking quickly, the narrating player finds a nearby red shirt and jumps into a car with the roaming band of death before anyone questions it. Every time suspicion is cast on him, he simply jumps into a car and everyone just moves on with it. It is like every episode of Burn Notice.
