Resident Evil 7's Not A Hero DLC Gets New Trailer

We saw some more gameplay footage of Not A Hero, the free DLC coming to Resident Evil 7, at Paris Games Week today. Not A Hero puts you in the shoes of Chris Redfield, who descends into a mine filled with unruly enemies and faces off against the unpredictable Lucas.

"You're going to fail, and then you are going to die," taunts Lucas through a videotape at the beginning of the teaser. Of course, Lucas has some deadly traps and bizarre mind games ready to test out on Redfield and his team. Watch the trailer for yourself below.

PSVR Targets Halloween For Two Game Launches

Sony’s Paris Games Week has given us a close look at two new PSVR games with some horror overtones.

The first is a new game from Q-Games (The Pixel Junk developers) called Dead Hungry, in which players build burgers, fries, and other diner style food before flinging it out to zombies to cure them. The first-person view and goofy aesthetics are combined with what looks like a fast-paced race to put together food as fast you can before the zombies overrun your food cart. Dead Hungry hits tomorrow.

In addition, a second PSVR game called Stifled, from Gattai Games, is also on the way for October 31. Using some variation of sound-based echolocation, players move through a darkened landscape, and can only make out their surroundings by making noise. But when you make a noise, you also alter your freaky enemies, which look like nothing so much as manic killer babies.

Sony Announces Two New PSVR Games For 2018

Just as we passed the PSVR's one-year anniversary, Sony announced some indie reinforcements for its lagging library.

The first of two PSVR games slated for 2018 was Megalith from newcomer Disruptive Games. The "action-packed" hero shooter puts you in the hulking body of a menacing titan that's trying to become a god. Presumably, you do so by battling other titans.

Content Packs Coming To The Sims 4 On Console

The Sims 4 is coming to console in November, and the pre-show for Sony's Paris Games Week conference revealed a few of the expanded content packs that will be available for the console version of the game.

The additional add-ons include a selection of the content players can already buy on PC, like vampires, patio accessories, and new options for city life.

During the presentation, no mention was made of this content being exclusive to PlayStation 4, so it may also be hitting Xbox One. The console version of The Sims 4 is the same as the PC version, save for a new interface designed to accommodate controllers.

The Hong Kong Massacre Announced For PS4 In 2018

During Sony's Paris Games Week 2018 show, a top-down shooter named The Hong Kong Massacre by developer Vreski was introduced.

The game was originally announced as a prototype in 2014, but has been fairly quiet with Twitter updates from the developer since then. It seems Sony has gotten behind the indie title with a John Woo bent and the game has been announced to hit the PS4 next year.

The Hong Kong Massacre is a top-down shooter about Hong Kong triad wars with plenty of slow-motion shooting and table-diving. The trailer was not huge on doves, but there presumably has to be some in there.

Guacamelee 2 Revealed

To kick off PlayStation's Paris Game Week show, the publisher revealed that a certain indie gem from 2013 is getting a sequel. Drinkbox Studios is back at it again with Guacamelee 2.

A fair bit of gameplay was shown off and it looks just as colorful and diabolically difficult as the first. Dimensional waves and chicken transformations return. The biggest addition shown off was the reveal of four-player co-op.
