Check Out These Awesome Covers For The First Horizon Zero Dawn Comic

Back in March, Titan Comics revealed a new Horizon Zero Dawn storyline would be delivered in comic book form. The comic, which takes place after the video game, focuses on Talanah as she not only deals with a new threat in The Wilds, but also contends with Aloy's disappearance.

One of the game's original writers Anne Toole worked on the project alongside artist Ann Maulina. The comic debuts on August 5 digitally and physically for $3.99.

You can check out all the covers for the first issue, including a stellar variant revealed today featuring both Aloy and Talanah battling what looks like a new machine (!), in the gallery below.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Rumored

Multiple sources are reporting that this year's Call of Duty title from developer Treyarch is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The talk surfaced recently when Okami posted a mock-up of the title leak on twitter, followed by Eurogamer citing its own multiple sources corroborating the news.

Earlier this year, Kotaku mentioned the Cold War setting as well as revealing that the game would include a single-player campaign, which was absent from 2018's Black Ops 4 (shown), though it also returned in last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Kotaku also reported that Treyarch would be the lead developer of this year's COD, with Activision subsidiaries Raven and Sledgehammer in support.

Lego Shows Off New Super Mario Power-Up Packs

Earlier this year, Lego announced a new collaboration with Nintendo's iconic Super Mario brand. The Adventures with Mario Starter Course features the man himself, plus several builds that connect together to create a long course for Lego Mario to navigate, including a Goomba and Bowser Jr. We also know that Piranha Plant Slide and Bowser's Castle sets will be sold as additional expansions. Today, Lego and Nintendo announced new Lego Super Mario Power-Up Packs, which allow you to dress up Nintendo's mascot in four of his most well-known power-up suits.

First up is Fire Mario, which makes the iconic fireball sound when you tilt him. Propeller Mario makes the propeller sound when you fly him upwards, and then makes coin sounds if you move him back and forth. Cat Mario makes, well, cat sounds, and creates coin-collection sounds if you climb him up a wall. Builder Mario makes the block-smash sound if you slam him down – given our experience with Legos, maybe be a little gentle with the slam.

The Lego Super Mario Power-Up Packs will launch as separate purchases alongside the rest of the Lego Super Mario set on August 1.

Henry Cavill Is A Character In The Latest Total War: Warhammer II DLC

Henry Cavill wowed audiences with his performance as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's Witcher series, a part he pleaded to play after falling in love with the games and books. The actor hasn't been shy about sharing his enthusiasm for video games, especially playing them on PC. Cavill discussed in the past his love for the Total War series and painting miniatures, but now that love has been immortalized in the most recent DLC for Total War: Warhammer II.

Creative Assembly took notice of his passion and gave him his very own role in The Warden and The Paunch DLC. He starts the campaign at your side as a loremaster of Hoeth and has some traits that speak to his Witcher role, such as one called "The White Wolf," which provides a +15 bonus versus large units and his ability being "Potion of Toughness."

For those interested in having Cavill by your side in his digital form, The Warden and The Paunch launches tomorrow (May 21) for $8.99.

Robocop Takes On A Terminator In The Latest Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Trailers

Frank Miller and Walter Simonson's 1992 comic book series Robocop Versus The Terminator is still one of the best licensed comics to date, and now we can see relive it in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath. Developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released two new trailers that show a Terminator taking on Robocop. It's machine versus man-machine and it looks wonderful.

Robocop is voiced by Peter Weller, who portrayed the character in the films. The Terminator design is based on Arnold Schwarzenegger's character design from Terminator: Dark Fate, the latest entry in the film series that hardly anyone saw.

Mortal Kombat: Aftermath is a sizable expansion that adds new story content, and three characters: Robocop, Sheeva, and Fujin. We'll have a full write-up on the expansion once it hits.
