How Rembrandt And Da Vinci Helped Design Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

One of the first things players notice about the Deus Ex revival are the distinctive black and gold hues that glow throughout the dystopian landscape, along with the clear roots of Elizabethan and Renaissance era culture.

In this video the executive art director at Eidos Montreal Jonathan Jacques-Bellette reveals the wealth of historical artists that had a dramatic influence on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Destiny - Xur's Gear And Upgrades For The Weekend Of April 17

Happy Xursday, everyone. It's Friday, which means that Xur is back in the tower. This week, he's brought his dancing boots.

He's also packing an extra upgrade option for PlayStation players, and one of the most desirable pieces of Warlock armor. Those that like to play as Voidwalkers might want to consider those Voidfang Vestments. Here's the full rundown:

Location: He's in the bar below the hangar this week. From the spawn point, head right, pass the Cryptarch, go down the hallway and the stairs to the hangar. Go past the stairs to the shipwright and through the hallway. Just follow the music and he's in the back corner enjoying a drink.

Get Your Grand Theft Auto V PC Cheat Codes Here

Grand Theft Auto V released on PC on Tuesday, which means it's time to share the cheat codes. In addition to dialing phone numbers to activate cheat codes like on consoles, you are also able to press the tilde key (~) to bring up a command line to type in the codes.

Gearnuke.com has shared some of the cheat codes they have found. Most of them will help you out by spawning in vehicles or by boosting your stats, while others will make your life more dangerous by increasing your wanted level or locking you into drunk mode. These codes cannot be activated during missions. Give them a try if you want to have some fun!

What We Want To See In Star Wars: Battlefront

What We Want To See In Star Wars: Battlefront

Star Wars Celebration kicks off tomorrow in Anaheim, CA, and the city streets are already filled with adults in Star Wars shirts, stormtrooper cosplayers walking menacingly out of hotel lobbies, and kids jumping out of cabs with X-Wing toys in hand. Along with the hope of seeing new footage from J. J. Abrams' upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, this convention is giving the world its first official look at DICE and Electronic Arts' Star Wars: Battlefront game, tentatively slated to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC this year.

DICE has been hard at work on this Battlefront project for a couple of years now, giving a E3 showgoers small taste of the game's content, which appears to be rooted heavily in the classic trilogy era. We've seen glimpses of locations like Hoth and Endor, and vehicles like snowspeeders, AT-STs, speederbikes, and the lumbering AT-ATs, but we haven't seen any gameplay yet.

DICE is a veteran of video game war, making a name for itself with the long-running Battlefield series. Battlefront is a beloved multiplayer experience of yesteryear. On paper, the developer and game are a great match.

Test Chamber – Just Three Friends Going On An Affordable Space Adventure

about X hours ago from

Affordable Space Adventures is a singe-player puzzle game, but it has an odd three-player mode that splits ship control duty, and we took it for a spin.

Join myself, Ben Hanson, and intern Elise Favis as we play through the game's opening to familiarize ourselves with the odd co-op control scheme. Later we fast-forward to a tougher puzzle to show how best to tackle the game's puzzles with multiple players.

Test Chamber – Boxboy For 3DS

about X hours ago from

Boxboy, from the same studio that brought us games like Kirby and Super Smash Bros., is a creative puzzle game with a sparse aesthetic.

Join myself, intern Justin Mikos, and Wade Wojcik as we make our way through the game's opening puzzles, paying full respect to the exclamation point that follows the title on the game's opening screen.

You can find our full review of the game by heading here.

Opinion – How Kojima Leaving Could Be Good For Metal Gear

Opinion – How Kojima Leaving Could Be Good For Metal Gear

Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima has said that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is his last game in the franchise. This, however, is not the last we'll see of Metal Gear, as Konami plans to keep putting out titles in the famous series. While the loss of Kojima will undoubtedly produce negative effects, there are also positives that could come out of the situation.

I'm a big fan of the Metal Gear franchise, and on the whole will miss Hideo Kojima's influence on the series. Believe it or not, however, there are some ways in which Konami and Metal Gear can benefit from Kojima's absence.

Warning: There is a single spoiler ahead for those who haven't played Ground Zeros.

Interview: Inside The Development Of Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS

We recently interviewed Nintendo, Monolith Soft, and Monster Games about their enhanced 3DS port of Xenoblade Chronicles.

[Note: This interview was done via email by Game Informer's Kim Wallace, who is traveling at the moment. The questions were divided up amongst the three companies. Nintendo and Monster's answers are credited to the companies themselves, while Monolith Soft's were answered by game lead Tetsuya Takahashi.]

Why was the decision made to bring Xenoblade to the 3DS instead of creating a HD version for the Wii U?

15 Exciting Adventure Games To Keep On Your Radar

Adventure games had their glory days in the ‘80s and ‘90s, dominating the PC market with titles like King’s Quest, Monkey Island, and Myst. Today, the genre has made a comeback. While it is still a risky game genre for big-budget games, we have seen a multitude of success stories for franchises such as Telltale’s Walking Dead series and Life Is Strange from Dontnod.

Many fantastic adventure games were announced at GDC and PAX East earlier this year, joining several other promising projects on the horizon. If you enjoy story-focused experiences that emphasize puzzles and atmosphere over action, check out these top upcoming adventure games.
