Meet Carrlyn Bathe, The First Female Broadcaster In EA’s NHL

If you’ve been playing NHL 21’s Be A Pro mode, you might have heard a new voice commenting on your rookie season. Newcomer Carrlyn Bathe joins core broadcasters Ray Ferraro and James Cybulski in giving updates on your progress and discussing important milestones. She’s no stranger to hockey: LA Kings fans should recognize her as she’s been covering the team for Fox Sports West, but Bathe also has hockey in her blood: Her father, Frank, played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Detroit Red Wings, and she also grew up playing the sport. Bathe’s role in NHL 21 marks her as the first female broadcasting voice in the franchise’s history. We recently sat down with Bathe to discuss her role, and found out she’s also taken a shine to gaming and streaming.

This year, EA Vancouver gave its Be A Pro mode, where you chart your path from inexperienced rookie to NHL star, a huge upgrade, adding a new conversation system, likeability meters, and presentation updates. The latter included involving the broadcasting team in presenting an authentic look at being in the spotlight as a highly touted up-and-comer. In the mode, the main commentator, James Cybulski, has his own radio show, where he comments on your efforts each game and how your season is going. He also brings along Ray Ferraro for an additional perspective.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Aerith Voice Actress Cosplays Her Character And It's Perfect

While it seems like we've got some time before we'll get a new Final Fantasy VII Remake update for the next part of the impressive re-imagining, we do at least have another awesome way to celebrate a fan favorite. FFVII Remake's Aerith voice actress Briana White recently brought her character to life in a whole new way, with her donning the classic look of Aerith fully equipped with flowers and her innocent smile.

White took to her Twitter to share two shots of her Aerith cosplay, courtesy of famed photographer Martin Wong. While there are more pictures on the horizon for her to share, the below three images were far too perfect for us not to share:

Among Us VR Is A Thing Thanks To This Fan Creation

Among Us VR Is A Thing Thanks To This Fan Creation

Among Us is an older game that randomly saw a massive surge of popularity this month and that popularity? Well deserved. This "sus" driven adventure is hilariously deceptive and is basically this gen's Monopoly and Halo MP regarding ruined friendships. Currently, it's only available on PC and mobile, but thanks to one fan it's also now a VR experience.

The Among Us VR experience comes by way of a new map creation in VRChat, a popular social experience in VR that allows players to create their own avatars and basically dive all-in on the weirdness that the Internet provides. Sometimes, though, it comes out with gems like this and it surprisingly works!

The VRChat creation even features the dreaded Admin card swipe, which only adds to the true-to-source nature of this particular fan nod. Players can even equip toons that look like those adorable jelly bean astronauts while murdering all of those crewmates like souls aren't a thing.
