Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 launched today, and while our review isn't available yet, we decided to show off some of what the vibrant San Francisco has to offer. Watch Javy Gwaltney and I get chased by the cops, forge evidence to mark a random civilian as a wanted criminal, and hack our way through some wacky side missions.

In Watch Dogs 2, you take on the role of Marcus Holloway, who is part of the hacktivism group DedSec. Similar to the first game, you can hack traffic lights and steam pipes, but now you can also control massive cranes, rig proximity traps, and use gadgets like a flying drone and a tiny remote-controlled car.

While a lot of the features we've been rolling out this month to go alongside our cover story on BioWare's Mass Effect Andromeda have focused on characters or gameplay, there's plenty more to discuss with the game's art direction. We've focused in on the design of the alien race called the Kett in an earlier video, but Mass Effect Andromeda's art director Joel MacMillan had a lot more to say about the art in the new game. Not only is the team at BioWare Montreal consulting with the Mass Effect trilogy's art director Derek Watts, but they also brought in vehicle designer Daniel Simon. You might recognize Simon's work from films such as Oblivion or Tron: Legacy.

Home theaters are relatively cheap, and are increasingly becoming the place where people view movies. I am one of those people. I tend to see most films with my wife, and we've found it's more cost-effective and comfortable to view a movie at home than the theater. Granted, we have to wait four to six months for films to come to Blu-Ray or UHD, but we are in no rush to see the majority of releases. The only exceptions we've made are for Star Wars and Marvel – we see those on day one, mostly out of excitement, but also from the fear of having them spoiled.

If you still love the theater experience, or have hermitized it like I have, you need to see Arrival on the biggest screen possible. This is one of those films that pulls you in visually and aurally, and benefits from high-end setups. I don't think a 50-inch screen with a soundbar will cut it, and whatever you do, don't watch this on an airplane or on a tablet or phone. Go as big and noisy as you can. I don't often give this advice, but like the great Contact before it, I strongly believe the theater is the way to go for the first viewing of Arrival.

Never Played Shenmue II? Watch Us Play The First Six Hours

Last year, over the course of four months, we played through Shenmue for the Dreamcast in its entirety. It was an experimental video series, with an undefined schedule that allowed us to take in all the feedback for each episode by reading and responding to comments in (almost) real time. The experiment was a success! So we immediately decided (after playing through Dark Souls III, Tex Murphy: Under A Killing Moon, Shadow of the Colossus, and Resident Evil 4) that there was no time like the present to return to Yu Suzuki's masterpiece. For the sequel, we're playing the Xbox version that was published by Microsoft in 2002.

In the first episode we explore the city a little bit, make a friend with a fellow capsule toy collector, and get all our stuff stolen. There's also a lady who forgot to finish getting dressed who really likes her motorcycle. In episode two, we make some progress by giving a hungry guy who loves naps some money, and getting a job that's almost as cool as being a forklift driver. We punch a tree in episode three. In episode four we break a rock with our hand because a homeless porcupine asked us to. In episode five we follow a lady to her apartment in the middle of the day and sleep on her couch. In episode 6 we look for a book. Spoiler alert: we don't find it.
