This year's E3 felt packed with announcements for games. A lot of them, as is often the case, turned out to be sequels or spin-offs of established series, like Wolfenstein II and Life Is Strange: Before The Storm. However, there were also a handful of new games, disconnected from established series, that made an appearance. Here are the most promising ones.

At this year's E3, we finally saw the big hook of the new Mario game: transforming into all kinds of unique creatures and inanimate objects.
Curious about the scope of this feature, I took a look at all the footage we've seen so far and did my best to compile a quick list of everything you can slap a hat on and run around with.

During E3 we were able to speak with the legendary Nintendo developer, Shigeru Miyamoto. After thanking him for the announcement of the remake of Metroid II, we moved onto The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the strange fiction of Super Mario Odyssey, his thoughts on the magic of nostalgia, and more.
This interview was conducted by Ben Hanson and Kyle Hilliard.
Game Informer: What is the relationship between Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? Has the success of Breath of the Wild impacted the development of Odyssey?

To the surprise of many fans, Beyond Good and Evil 2 made an appearance during the Ubisoft press conference. We saw a woman and an ape with a cybernetic arm aboard flying motorbikes, evading missiles after a shady meet-up in a restaurant. While a sequel was originally announced in 2008, that was a separate project that never came to fruition. This time around, the team is planning a prequel that takes place generations before the birth of Jade (the protagonist of the original) and has a much more mature tone. The development team says they are still at "day zero" of development. We saw a tech demo and the team shared concept ideas for what they plan to include in the game. You can view these below.
