'Hitman 2' Miami trailer shows murder with scissors and fish

A new gameplay trailer for Hitman 2 shows the crazy amount of improvisation you'll be able to do in the game's Miami level. While offering the standard gun/silencer murders, it also features our hero Agent 47 offing targets with with a pair of scissors, a large fish, a rock, wrench and a frying pan, while blowing up an (evil) car race winner right on the trophy podium.

Get ready for a 'Cyanide & Happiness' battle royale game

Things are already pretty dark in the Cyanide & Happiness universe, but throw a post-rapture apocalypse into the mix and you've got straight-up carnage. That's the backdrop of Rapture Rejects, a top town isometric last-man-standing game set in the (crumbling) world of everyone's favourite bleak comic strip. It's essentially a mash-up of Battle Royale and Worms, with no boring military stuff and plenty of bizarre weapons, plus Cyanide & Happiness' imitable brand of OTT animated violence. And also Satan. You can sign up for alpha, which is happening this summer, now.

Watch the PlayStation E3 media briefing in under 11 minutes

Sony's Playstation E3 press conference was an unusual affair, set up in a small, church or dance-hall venue with pew-like benches for participants. It turns out that the room was nearly identical to a scene from The Last of Us 2 the (very violent) game that kicked off the atmospheric press conference. From there, we got deep dives on Kojima Productions' Death Stranding, Spider-Man from Insomniac, and Sucker Punch's samurai combat game Ghost of Tsushima. Luckily, you don't have to cram yourself into the tiny venue -- you can catch it here in less than 11 minutes.

'Ghost of Tsushima' shows off gorgeous, brutal combat

We've just gotten our first look at developer Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima. In the demo, we saw plenty of combat, with the player executing parries like we haven't seen since Xbox One launch title, Ryse: Son of Rome. Except, you know, without all the quick-time events. Our protagonist is just as adept at sneaking through the bushes and stealthily taking out guards with his sword, clambering around on rooftops a la the old Tenchu: Stealth Assassins games, and then sinking his blade into hapless foes below.
