Razer's THX-enabled headset helps you locate sneaky enemies

Razer has unveiled a headset that makes the best use of its THX acquisition so far by letting you know where your enemies are coming from. The Kraken Tournament Edition is the first product with THX Spatial Audio that plays sounds from all around you with "pinpoint accuracy" and adjusts when you turn your head. It can also auto-detect audio formats, let you set up a personal profile with parameters like voice clarity and bass boost and find just the right balance between game and chat volumes.

Huawei's Honor is bringing the slider phone back

How to solve the problem of too much screen? After Honor showcased its new gaming phone to the IFA masses, it had a surprise extra announcement: The Honor Magic 2 (What? Never heard of the original Honor Magic?) It looks to be a phone that's (once again) all screen, no bezel, but has another solution for where to hide the pesky front-facing camera: In a slider component behind the front. Like the T-Mobile SideKick, and decades-old Samsung and Nokia phones, it looks like Honor are betting on the slider to solve the problem of all-screen smartphones. It's not the dumbest solution, Oppo's Find X does a similar trick, albeit with an internal mechanism. It's early days, though and other details are scant. You can expect advanced safe fast-charging and Huawei's next smartphone chip, the Kirin 980 -- which hasn't even been announced yet. Watch the unveiling after the break: We've skipped to the main part.

EA delays 'Battlefield V' to November 20th

DICE knows a thing or two about the perils of shipping a game before it's ready. That's why it and Electronic Arts are pushing the release date for Battlefield V back by almost a month. The World War II shooter will now be released on November 20th instead of October 19th. That puts it out of spitting distance of Red Dead Redemption 2 (out October 26th), the game seemingly every other publisher is trying to avoid on calendar.

The weird, wild and expensive world of blockchain art

Is it still shocking in 2018 to see someone drop more than $50,000 on a digital playing card? Well, that's what happened when Gods Unchained, a blockchain-based digital card game, wrapped an auction on its rarest card to date: the Hyperion Mythic card. It sold for 146.279 ETH, which was worth about $54,000 at the time. If that doesn't shock you, how about the fact that a digital trading card of Elon Musk is currently on auction for about the same price?

Honor's affordable gaming phone is designed for 'PUBG'

Honor, a spin-off brand from Huawei, makes decent middleweight smartphones that are often, well, kind-of unremarkable. This time is different. Honor is going after a specific smartphone audience: The mobile gamer -- especially if you're into PUBG Mobile. The Honor Play was officially unveiled at IFA today, and all the major features are aggressively aimed at gamers. While there's no plans for a US release, the Play is priced keenly enough, at 329 euros (roughly $380) that, heck, some mobile gamers might even bite.

Is Riot spending less on professional League of Legends?

Three days ago, League of Legends owner Riot confirmed that it wouldn't be sending English commentators to the early stages of Worlds in South Korea. Instead, casters will be covering the games from Los Angeles, likely inside the NA LCS (North American League of Legends Championship Series) studio. Riot's official NA and EU interviewers, Ovilee May and Eefje "Sjokz" Depoortere, will be in attendance. But unlike previous years, US commentators won't be casting from inside South Korea until the finals.
