Phantasy Star Online 2 coming to Steam August 5 with cross-platform co-op

When SEGA’s Phantasy Star Online 2 launched on the Windows 10 Store on May 27, fan excitement was quickly tempered with disappointment over numerous technical issues. Some issues resulted from players having originally disabled or changed Xbox settings during their Windows installations, but others seem to have resulted from an extremely buggy installer. These issues necessitated the popular use of the fan-made PSO2 Tweaker tool, but even that tool couldn’t solve many users’ problems.Thankfully, PC players should be in for a much less troublesome experience when Phantasy Star Online 2 officially launches on Steam in North America on August 5. The launch date coincides with the release of PSO2’s free Episode 4 expansion for Xbox one and Windows 10. Episode 4 continues the game’s story and, mind-bendingly, takes it to Earth, with new maps set in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and on the moon. Alongside the new content will come a new crafting system, a competitive battle arena, and, of course, plenty of new fashion items with which to adorn characters.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat Is Headed For Next-Gen Consoles

about X hours ago from

"Gosh," you must be thinking, "these new consoles look pretty fancy, but their lineups offer frighteningly few reasons to yell at my friends over a sushi roll."  Fear not, poor soul, for Team17 and Ghost Town Games have you covered.  Their hit co-op games, Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2, are being combined into one big, fancy package for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X.Overcooked! All You Can Eat will blend together every single bit of content from both titles, including DLC, meaning you'll probably have more short-order madness than you'll know what to do with.  The resulting feast will feature over two hundred levels (including seven brand new ones), three new chefs, better load times, and that 4K/60FPS gameplay that's all the rage right now.On top of that, the original Overcooked! levels have been rebuilt using the more up-to-date Overcooked! 2 engine, so online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer will be available no matter which stage you're trying to beat.

REZ PLZ Co-Op Stream Recap and Impressions

I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of platformers, but every once in a while one comes around that mixes up the traditional experience enough to hold my interest. REZ PLZ from Long Neck Games fit this bill by mixing up old school platforming mechanics with co-op and levels designed around...corpses. Yes the goal of REZ PLZ is to traverse the terrain by any means necessary, even if that means one of the two players must hurdle themselves into a pool of lava so the other may jump on their head. Wall of spikes block your path? Throw yourself at it so your partner can wall jump off you. It's these puzzle like situations that slowly built up over the course of our 45 minute play session that were both laugh out loud entertaining and thought provoking. It also kind of made you say - "Boy,  that's f#!@ed up."
