about X hours ago from

Deep Silver revives their initial foray into the world of the undead with Dead Island: Definitive Collection. Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide will be  together in a nice little polished  package with all of the DLC included. In addition to the perks of being able to play these games on next gen systems, there will be improvements to textures, lighting, and shading. Anti-aliasing will also help the game run smoothly. If you didn't get a change to check this game out on the previous gen, now is a great time to try it out. The developer has thrown a few fun perks into the mix with a side scrolling mini game and Power Fists Power-up, a previously unofficial mod that was popular enough to be incorporated into the console collections.Dead Island Definitive Collection comes out May 31st with Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, and a mini-game called Retro Revenge for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC at $40. The games feature Online 4 Player Co-op so you don't have to traverse a zombie infested island by yourself.

First Look at Co-Op in Alienation on PS4

about X hours ago from

Alienation hit the PlayStation 4 last week, and last night Jason and I took some time to check out the game's online co-op mode. The game should feel familiar to those of you who have played Housemarque's other co-op shooter, Dead Nation. But this isn't simply a palette swap of aliens for zombies. In our stream we looked at two very early levels of the game and what makes Alienation not just a twin stick shooter - but a game that borrows elements from many of today's modern day persistent shooters like Destiny and Borderlands. We can't help but admire a really pretty game in the process. While the game is currently online co-op online, Housemarque plans to release couch co-op support in the near future.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will Not Have Campaign Co-Op

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will Not Have Campaign Co-Op

The next entry in the Call of Duty series was recently announced (subtitled "Infinite Warfare") and in a recent livestream event, Activision confirmed that the campaign would be single-player only. The silver lining, I suppose, is that you will be able to team up with friends to take on zombies, as you have for the past couple Call of Duty games. There weren't a whole lot of details provided about the zombie mode for Infinite Warfare, unfortunately. Activision stated that it will feature a whole new storyline and new mechanics, but that's about it. More information about the zombies would be given "later this year." Hopefully those details will include how many players will be supported and whether it will be part of the game at launch or added in later as part of DLC.

New Adventures Await in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

about X hours ago from

May the 4th marks a special day for Star Wars fans. TT Games and Warner Bros joined in the festivities with some news about he next LEGO game, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It appears you'll be able to play some of the adventures that are mentioned in the movie, but never shown, like Han and Chewie capturing the Rathars.Along with the main story adventures upon which you'll get to embark as you play, you'll also get treated to six new adventures that will star Poe Dameron, C-3PO, and other notable characters. As your ears no doubt detected in the trailer, they've brought in the actors from the film to record some new dialogue for those adventures, meaning you'll get actual Harrison Ford speaking Han Solo's lines instead of someone that sounds pretty close to it.

Golfing in a Restaurant is the Norm for Dangerous Golf

about X hours ago from

Three Fields Entertainment, which is comprised of some notable Criterion alums, has been busy working on their first title, Dangerous Golf. As the newest trailer demonstrates, you're really not playing golf, you're playing a beautiful destruction simulator. The goal for each hole you play in Dangerous Golf is to cause as much destruction as possible before sinking the putt. Enjoy watching all of that in action and get hyped for the title's arrival next month.Three Fields Entertainment is shooting for a June 3, 2016 release for Dangerous Golf on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, though that may change depending on the whole certification process. It will support two players locally in the Co-Op World Tour, where players work together to get the highest score possible.

New Maps in Next DLC for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide

The next bit of DLC for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide has been teased. Arriving towards the end of this month, "Drachenfel" will add three new maps to the existing set and task players with exploring the ancient castle, which is located outside of the Ubersreik region, to put an end to some Skaven schemes.Unlike the Sigmar's Blessing DLC, Drachenfel will run you a few bucks. The exact price hasn't been revealed yet, though the previous paid DLC, Schluesselschloss, cost $2.99 for just one map so I'm guessing this may run somewhere in the $9.99 to $15.99 range. Here's a breakdown of the three maps that will be a part of the DLC:

Cooperative Play Headed to Stardew Valley

Cooperative Play Headed to Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley has become quite the popular farm-sim game over the past few months. The title had a lot of positive buzz around it before it even launched, and that sentiment has only grown after its release. In a blog post this past weekend, Eric Barone, the one-man development team who goes under the alias ConcernedApe, stated that cooperative multiplayer would be coming to the title. When development first began on Stardew Valley in 2012, Barone had intended to incorporate a four-player co-op mode into the game. Game development, though, isn't easy and the mode had to be put off so the title could be completed and shipped. Thanks to the success it's enjoyed, though, that feature can be put back on the table and the title's publisher, Chucklefish, will work on getting it integrated. No word from Barone on when the feature will be patched in, or how many players it will support. When we get more details, we'll be sure to get the title into our database.
