Four Player Co-Op Will Be Added to Watch Dogs 2 This June

While some new Watch Dogs 2 DLC (both paid and free) arrives later this month, bringing with it some new features like a PvP mode and a new Dedsec operation, it's Ubisoft's future plan for added content in which we're interested. Specifically, upping the online co-op player count from two to four. In a blog post last week, Ubisoft laid out its "content roadmap" for Watch Dogs 2 over the next few months. The biggest change was them pulling the new PvP mode, Showdown, out of the paid "No Compromise" DLC and making it free/available to everyone. As a result, the "No Compromise" DLC will now include some new outfits that grant you special in-game abilities as a way to make that paid DLC more "premium," I guess. The one bit of co-op news amidst all that is the plan to increase the number of players supported in the free roam/co-op missions to four, though this won't occur until sometime in June.Watch Dogs 2 is out now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It currently supports two players online in special co-op missions and general free roam.

There Are Plenty Of Vehicles Available In LEGO City: Undercover

about X hours ago from

Any childhood worth its salt includes at least one vivid memory of traipsing around a self-made LEGO town in a dubiously constructed vehicle.  Sure, the buildings may crumble at a moment's notice, and sure, square blocks can't exactly roll, but that doesn't stop those of us with a mish-mash of LEGOs and a need to just cruise.LEGO City: Undercover looks to recreate that feeling, albeit with proper vehicles.  The folks over at PlayStation just posted a video teasing all the different ways you can traverse the blocky cityscape, which you can see below:Undercover originally came out on the Wii U, sans co-op, but now that it's making its way to the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, the developers were kind enough to add in the two player local co-op that's become a standard for LEGO video games.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Monsters That Are Quite Large Indeed

A good bit of the staff is on monster hunting duty this weekend, so let's all wish them luck in their quest to fell beasts the size of small office buildings.  Outside of that, we've got a smattering of games on deck.  Some focus on the search for increasingly dangerous cocaine hideouts, others revolve around a desire to explore the oceanic abyss.  A few of us, unfortunately, are about to delve into a weekend without games.  Please, leave a controller plugged in for us.Nick Puleo (@NickPuleo) - "Duty calls at work. No gaming for me, but hopefully I prestige."Jason Love (@JLove55) - "Slicing and dicing oni in Toukiden 2, becoming the Oni of Sotenbori in Yakuza 0, and finding the oni in the machine in NieR: Automata."

Owners Of The Division Can Now Get A Free DLC Pack For Ghost Recon Wildlands

It looks like the Clancy-verse is colliding, folks.  Soon enough, there'll be games about Sam Fisher going on a road trip with Jack Ryan, the Rainbow 6 folks piloting Red October, and alt-Russia going to war with alt-Brazil.  It's inevitable, now that Ubisoft has released a free DLC pack for Ghost Recon Wildlands based on The Division.  As stated in the below tweet, you have to own copies of both games to actually redeem it.Ok Agents, we're very far from home... Unlock now #TheDivision Pack in #GhostRecon Wildlands! You need to own the two games to get it. pic.twitter.com/CeG26jDiEZThe new equipment includes a costume, patch, and weapon - the LVOA-C Division assault rifle.  Now, all those Bolivian drug lords will know that they're messing with an operative that survived the New York disaster... and possibly did some dubious things in a place called "The Dark Zone".

Destiny 2 Announced for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

about X hours ago from

Guardians, it's time to jump back into the world of Destiny. Bungie and Activision have just announced Destiny 2 is coming this year, September 8th to be exact. For the first time the game will be on the PC alongside the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.So far we've only got two teaser trailers that will lead us up to the gameplay premier in May. Both are light-hearted, full of comedy and action. Nathan Fillion helps these along immensely. We don't have the details yet on co-op, but with the game continue the action-rpg-shooter hybird it started, you can expect lots of looting with friends.Interestingly, the game is up for pre-order already, including the season passes. One thing we noticed was that Gamestop is listing the PS4 version of the season pass for $5 less than the Xbox One. Could this be the next step in the "platform exclusive" wars? Time shall tell.
