about X hours ago from

With E3 right round the corner, a number of studios attending are releasing videos teasing or covering what they will have on display for the show, come June 13-15. Keeping up with this trend, EA has tapped a number of their creative minds to put together a video outlining what players can expect Star Wars Battlefront 2 to feel and play like.In the video, which can be seen in full below as well as on YouTube, a number of producers and directors are featured from different companies within the EA (the publisher of Battlefront 2) family. Thanks to this, we can get a feel for what type of talent will be seen on the game, such as the team at Criterion games, formerly of the Need for Speed and Burnout Series. This video summarizes what has been said about the upcoming Battlefront 2 while preparing players for what they can expect to see in the coming weeks, such as specifics on the campaign, multiplayer, new heroes and villains and, of course, co-op.

Terraria 1.3 Update Incoming

about X hours ago from

Announced recently through the Terraria dev blog and then showed off in video form, update 1.3 will be making it's way to consoles soon, with a "Target Timing of release of Consoles 1.3 remains Q2, 2017". This update, although trailing behind the PC version, is set to remove some bugs, but much of the emphasis is on the large number of additions and reworks that are being brought.Inventory management is changing from switching screens to all taking place on the same screen --a huge blessing for me personally -- which allows players to fluidly move items, rather than stopping their gameplay. In addition, the stream where new gameplay was shown off also presented new weapons, armor, items and much more. The video can be found on Pipeworks' YouTube, but you can check it out below as well.Terraria was reviewed by Locke Vincent, who awarded it a 4/5  saying "...It is a great way to spend time with a bunch of friends. If three dimensions is too many, grab Terraria and get digging with a couple friends and explore what this world has to offer you.". Feel free to read his full thoughts, here.

Full Trailer Released for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

about X hours ago from

Last week, we got a release date (November 14th) and teaser trailer for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. Yesterday, Warner Bros. and TT Games dropped the full announcement trailer for the game, giving us a good look at many of the playable characters.Playable characters appear to focus on Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-verse franchises, which is unsurprising as these are the current blockbusters. However, there's some unexpected, but welcome, characters included in the line-up, such as Spider-Gwen and Ms. Marvel. There's even mention of some specific variants that fans will likely be enthused to see, like Cowboy Captain America and Spider-Man 2099.LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 14th, 2017, with a Nintendo Switch version planned sometime later in the holiday season. Specific details on the co-op are currently slim, but we're expecting it to support 2-player local co-op like the first game in the series.

Far Cry 5 Will Have Full Co-Op Campaign

about X hours ago from

The next entry in the Far Cry series made its worldwide debut today. Plenty of rumors had pegged Far Cry 5 to take place within the borders of the U.S. this time, Montana specifically, and early teaser images hinted at the primary antagonist being a religious cult. With the official trailer out there now, all that has been proven true but there's some particularly good news for us: the entire campaign can be played with friend. The past couple Far Cry games have allowed for some limited "co-opportunities" in the form of raiding outposts or taking on co-op missions in a separate mode. For Far Cry 5, though, players will be able to create their custom character and then team up together to take down the Eden's Gate cult. The game also boasts the usual open world to explore, as well as an array of weapons to collect and customize, vehicles to crash into other things, and no doubt a small mountain of collectibles to gather. We'll probably hear more about this over the next couple of weeks leading up to and during E3 2017. Far Cry 5 will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 27, 2018.

Nine Parchments Coming to Nintendo Switch

about X hours ago from

Frozenbyte's next co-op title, the magical Nine Parchments, will be coming to Nintendo Switch in addition to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Not sure how all that beauty will look on the portable screen, but wizarding on the go sounds promising. The Trine developer first announced their new game last August, showing off a lot of magic action that was fairly similar to another co-op title involving wizards and magic. There hasn't been much mention or updates from the studio since then. In fact, this is the first piece of news that we've heard at all after the initial announcement. So while there isn't much else to go on, or even a release date, at least we get to enjoy some nice footage of the game in action.Nine Parchments will support four player local or online co-op when it gets release sometime later this year.

Xbox One Closed Beta for Marvel Heroes Omega Starts Next Month

about X hours ago from

On Tuesday, the PlayStation 4 version of Marvel Heroes Omega officially kicked over from closed beta to open beta. It's free to download and play from the PSN store right now, along with a free character (Daredevil). Next month, Xbox One players will be able to get in on the action, too.The closed beta for Marvel Heroes Omega on Xbox One will kick-off on June 20. Presumably, it will follow a similar pattern as the closed beta on PlayStation 4, with the ability to buy into the beta by purchasing a Founder's Pack or getting a code that grants access. If it does follow the same course as the PlayStation 4 version, then the open beta for Xbox One will arrive a few weeks later.
