Remaining Year Two Franchises for LEGO Dimensions Get Release Dates

LEGO Dimensions may be nearing the end of its second year post-release, but it certainly hasn't been any slouch in adding to its impressive franchise roster this year. Last year, Warner Bros. promised 16 new franchises in Year Two, and since then they've made good on that promise with 13 of them. Just recently, they announced that September 15th will see the launch of the remaining three. The final three franchises planned for Year Two are the Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans Go!, and Beetlejuice, all of which will be available across several franchise-specific packs.Beetlejuice will receive a Fun Pack (consisting of his figure and Saturn's Sandworm toy) which will unlock a new open adventure and multiplayer battle arena. Teen Titans Go!  and the Powerpuff Girls will each receive both a Team Pack and a Fun Pack. The Teen Titans Go! Team Pack will include Raven and Beast Boy figures plus accessories while the Teen Titans Go! Fun Pack will focus on Starfire and her accessory. Both of these packs will unlock an adventure world and battle arena as well as an exclusive episode. The Powerpuff Girls Team Pack has Blossom and Bubbles (with vehicles and gadgets) while the Fun Pack rounds out the trio with Buttercup (with her own vehicle/gadget set-up). These packs also unlock an adventure world and battle arena.

Cooperative Action/Tower Defense Title Hell Warders Hits Early Access Soon

about X hours ago from

Gather up your allies and prepare to take on the forces of h-e-double hockey sticks itself in Ares Games' Hell Warders. This four player, third-person action title will challenge you to battle off waves of demons and keep the Nexus safe by deploying towers and battling foes mano-a-diablo.While some of the playable characters have a definite Dark Souls vibe (I'm looking at you, Ash!), the game has more in common with something like Dungeon Defenders. There will be four different characters from which you can choose to play, though it looks like only two (Ash, the Ember Knight, and Dead Eye, the Tainted) will be available when it hits Early Access next week. Each character has his own unique abilities that can benefit the team as the hordes of hell march towards the Nexus. You can search for power-ups and try to take them all on yourself, or you can (and probably should) build defenses to help fend off the diabolic forces.Hell Warders supports up to fours player online in the main game mode. It will be available via Steam Early Access starting next Tuesday, June 6.

New Game from PAYDAY Designer Revealed, GTFO

about X hours ago from

When Ulf Andersson, co-founder of Overkill Software, left his previous dev studio and founded 10 Chambers Collective back in 2015, he had one goal in mind: making an FPS title with a heavy emphasis on co-op. After a long time of teases, that game, GTFO, has been revealed... sort of.At the moment, there's not a lot of information about this new title other than the name and that it will be a "4-player hardcore co-op action horror FPS." Per the press release accompanying the little teaser trailer below, GTFO is being described as a kind of almost survival horror style game where players are forced to think on their feet and change up gearing based on ever-changing scenarios. Here's the little blurb from that press release:In GTFO, you and your friends will explore hostile and terrifying environments where, in an instant, you are thrown from edge-of-your-seat suspense to frantic action. It’s a large-scale experience, testing players in their ability to gear up and adapt to an endless string of unknown and ever-changing challenges.
