about X hours ago from

New World Interactive's Day of Infamy received another free update today. This time two new maps, Dunkirk and Breville, have been added and can be enjoyed cooperatively. Here's a quick rundown of what's included in the "Dunkirk" update:The genesis of the first of these maps is thanks, in part, to Christopher Nolan's new film, "Dunkirk," which is a dramatic retelling of the Dunkirk evacuation during the early days of World War II. The second is based on the Battle of Bréville that occurred four years later during the Normandy Invasion. You can check out the developers playing through these new maps later today (July 21) on their Twitch channel around 12:00 pm EDT.

Release Date Established For Rogue Trooper Redux

about X hours ago from

Finally, we can return to the video game landscape one decade ago, when there existed a spot for action games that were neither pixelated indie titles nor bombastic AAA behemoths.  It was a time when you could roll into your local Gamestop/Babbage's/etc and pick up an action title that wasn't necessarily great, but definitely wasn't terrible - it existed solidly in the middle.  One such game, Rogue Trooper, has received the remastering treatment and will be in your waiting hands very soon.Rogue Trooper Redux, which features co-op specific modes for up to four online players, is hitting the streets on October 17th of this year.  Curious what your $24.99 payment is getting you?  Check out the graphics comparison trailer below:While the October 17th date is valid for almost every platform (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC), the Nintendo Switch version will lag just slightly behind.  Developer Rebellion hasn't listed a specific date for it just yet, but they've promised to deliver it "soon after" the other versions.

Destiny 2's Beta is Full of Shabazz

about X hours ago from

I honestly have no idea what "Shabazz" is - but Destiny 2 surely has it. Last night the Co-Opticrew dove headfirst into Bungie's sequel's beta to see just what changes are under the covers. The beta offers a single strike, The Inverted Spire, available to play in co-op. Before diving in headfirst the crew talks about changes to the characters - despite the same three classes returning, each has a new spec available with a modified skill tree. Gone is light level, replaced by "power" (essentially the same thing). Throughout the stream we try to show off new abilities, including some exciting things for co-op like buffs that effect the whole team. The Destiny 2 beta kicked off yesterday on PS4 with Early Access ending today. Tomorrow early access begins on Xbox One.  Then the beta is open to everyone on July 21st through the 23rd. The PC beta should arrive sometime in August.

Ah, the smell of a freshly poured glass of Mountain Dew.  The feeling of a plastic controller between your fingers.  The heat of the rising sun filtering through your closed blinds.  Truly, nothing beats the act of waking up at the break of dawn and settling into a morning session of theHunter: Call of the Wild.It might not match the feeling of an actual hunting trip, but by golly, the game's developers are doing everything they can to offer the next best thing.  In order to document this task, three folks from theHunter's publisher, Avalanche Studios, put together a little video showcasing what all goes on behind the scenes of development.theHunter features an online hunting sandbox that up to eight players can experience together.  You and your hunting pals will explore the landscape as you search for elusive game, take on challenges from the area's locals, or just do donuts in your respective ATVs.  It's already available on PC, but the game is due out later this year on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Fat Shark's been maintaining interest in the game with some DLC here and there, but they tried something new with the latest release.

HyperX Alloy Elite Mechanical Keyboard Review

HyperX Alloy Elite Mechanical Keyboard Review

After an impressive debut into the mechanical keyboard market, HyperX has decided to expand their offerings for this particular peripheral. The HyperX Alloy Elite takes the rock-solid design of the Alloy, and adds onto and improves upon a few features. You may recall that I was extremely impressed with the HyperX Alloy when I reviewed it back in October 2016. As someone who never cared to get in on the mechanical keyboard game, the Alloy converted me, winning me over with its compact design and no-nonsense features. Given that background, I was fairly certain I would also like the Alloy Elite.
