Check Out 5 Hours of Ghost Recon Wildlands For Free on Xbox One and PS4

If you've been interesting in trying Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands but didn't want to pay the full price of admission to see if it's for you, good news! There's a five hour trial of the title now available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.The demo went live this past Friday and can be accessed on the PSN store or Microsoft store if you navigate to the Ghost Recon Wildlands page. The five hour trial allows you to fully explore as much of Bolivia as you can before that timer expires. You're also free to team up with whomever you want regardless if they own the full game or not, and all of your progress in the trial will also carry over. It's worth noting that even though the trial is limited, you're basically downloading the full game. That's good news if you like what you see and want to buy it, but bad news if a 60 Gb download is too much. There's a trial FAQ over on the website that covers all the pertinent details.Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The full version of the game retails for $59.99. The five hour trial is available only on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Bloody Zombies is Now Dated and Priced

about X hours ago from

nDreams' zombie beat-em-up title, Bloody Zombies, has a release date in sight. On September 12, you and up to three of your buddies - some of whom may be in VR - can don some brass knuckles and drop some sick power bombs on the undead. The streets of London are overrun with the living dead and its up to four survivors - Teller, Mick ‘The Brick’, Rei, and Eddie - to take out as many of them as possible. While the action is very side-scrolling brawler focused, nDreams has described the combat as "free-form" so you can chain moves together. The other big feature here is that the title supports VR players for both the PC (Rift and Vive) and PlayStation 4 versions (PSVR), as well as combo co-op. So, if you and your buddy are playing on the couch together, you could join another friend who's using the PSVR. The player wearing the VR headset is able to get a unique view of the action and can move the camera around to get a better look at what's ahead or crawling up behind you.Bloody Zombies will be released on September 12, 2017, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will retail for $14.99. Four player online, local, and combo co-op is supported.

The Escapists 2 Co-Op Stream Recap

Last night the Co-Opticrew had to serve hard time. Locked up in a virtual prison our crew was tasked with escaping the man, because, well...we didn't do it! We're innocent. The Escapists 2 is the sequel to the wildly popular game from developer Mouldy Toof Studios and published by Team 17. The series now has co-op and with it comes all the antics and strategy that playing with your friends brings. It mostly just means we sit at a virtual lunch table together. And sometimes shower together.

Gameplay Footage of the Co-Op Challenge in Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle

about X hours ago from

Ubisoft's venture into the world of Mario took us all a little bit by surprise when it was finally unveiled at this year's E3. The rumors and leaks prior to the event had many wondering what Nintendo was thinking, but seeing Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle in action eased many of those anxieties. We only got a little tease of the co-op mode at that time, but now, a new gameplay video provides the pertinent details. The two player local co-op mode in Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle is completely separate from the single-player campaign. The devs describe it as a challenge mode where players choose a challenge, such as defeat a certain number of enemies within a set period of time, or make it to a certain objective point, and then each player chooses a team of two characters. Different characters have different special abilities, like Luigi being good at long-range shots or Rabbid Peach being able to heal teammates, and each player can also choose a weapon loadout for each character in their team. Players are also able to level up the abilities of each character. It's not specifically discussed in the video, but it seems that both the weapon loadout and ability upgrades are tied to the progression in the single-player campaign.

Two Epic Adventures come to Backwards Compatibility

The backwards compatibility mode on Xbox One is like having a cupboard of forgotten games that keeps being filled.  Pop in there today and you may just spy a game or two that you own; Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two or SEGA Vintage Collection: ToeJam & Earl. Both games are solid co-op affairs with Epic Mickey 2 offering some old school platforming which requires some true co-operation between players as each character has a different power set.  Check out the surprisingly well written review of the game. The Toejam and Earl Collection may be a little older, but has a classic charm to it and offers two different genre of game for the price of one.  We gave this game a higher score than Mickey, but the review is not as well written ...  Both games are worth reinstalling on your One if you bought them back on the 360 and will be great in a sale or as part of any future Games with Gold.

Our Weekend In Gaming: Come At Me, Satan

As with most good weekends, the Co-Opticrew's plans involve tracking down and subsequently beating the crap out of The Actual Devil.  There's just something about sucker punching ol' Horns and Tail himself that makes it feel like time well spent.Of course, that's not all we have in store.  One of our own will be spending the bulk of their time amongst... something called "The Wilderness"?  Is that like, an Escape Room, or something?  Anyway, the rest of us will be fighting with robots, running with salmon, and cooking under duress.  Check it out!Nick Puleo (@NickPuleo) - "Diablo 3 with my necro. Not sure what else."

More Characters Announced For LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2

If you're a fan of the LEGO games, you've likely played for dozens of hours as the main stars of their many licensed universes - Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars, etc.  However, one of the largest attractions to the series, for me at least, is the chance to play as those oft-forgotten characters.  The "Had A Fourteen Issue Comic Run" characters, the "Appears Briefly In The Background Of The Bar Scene" characters.  You know the type. It's in this vein that Traveller's Tales, developer of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, has revealed a few more playable options for their forthcoming sequel.  Gaze upon the image below, and you'll see Throg and Cosmo the Spacedog, as well as Black Panther's jet.  Both of the characters and the vehicle will be available for your every whim when the game releases on November 14th of this year.As with almost every LEGO game, two player local co-op will be supported.  While they've likely never interacted in Marvel canon, you and a buddy can take on the evils of the Marvel universe with Throg and Cosmo, baiting them in with your adorable looks, and then presumably punching their blocks off.
